The best soap! I'll stay with recyclable bottle

I love this soap. It's my go-to cleanser for the kitchen, bath, and laundry. It's very concentrated, extremely gentle, and perfect for sensitive skin. When I saw this paper carton refill I bought it, figuring it was greener than the plastic bottle. But then I looked carefully at the carton and couldn't find a recyclable label. This makes sense, because a paper carton holding liquid would need a coating which would be, I believe, foil and plastic, which cannot be separated from the paper in the recycling process. So - is this paper carton more ecological than the Dr. Bronner's soap sold in the 100% recyclable plastic bottle? I'm going back to the bottle.

Won't be without it

I use nothing else on my skin. I'm 72 and have had oily skin most of my life. After I reached 60 it started to get less oily and now is just average, and I'm sure that oily skin has helped immensely in keeping my skin youthful. But I also credit Dr. Bronner. I've been using the Peppermint Castille liquid soap for bathing and specifically for my face for about 50 years, and since the last 20 it has been what I use exclusively to wash my face. I also love that it is so versatile. I was introduced to it by a friend who used it to wash clumps off tar in his dogs' fur after they romped around on the beach a month after an oil spill. The tar came off almost effortlessly.

Best for Body, Garden, and our Mother!

Since I've been using the shampoo recipe from Dr. Bronner's website for years, I keep a variety of scents on hand to change things up. Peppermint is the best during the summer after working outside and his summer was the hottest on record, to date! Peppermint soap cools the body down and smells amazing. But wait - there's more: Aphids attacked my tomato plants! What works best, is non-toxic & environmentally friendly? Yep, y'all got it! A bit of Dr. Bronners Pepperment soap in a spray bottle of water did the trick! Those critters are gone! Thank you for giving us cartons rather than plastics for refills - it's a kinder way to meet our needs while respecting that of our Mother's! 5+ Stars!

Caused terrible breakage to my hair

I bought this soap on a recommendation as a natural, sulfate free product. What I didn't know is it contains lye (potassium hydroxide). I used a small amount to cleanse my hair. I read the blog about how to use this product and followed their instructions. When my hair started to dry I saw a lot of fly away hairs. When I touched it, it literally started breaking off in my hands. The fly aways I was seeing was the result of hair breakage. I normally have very healthy hair and this product stripped it of everything. I used it 1 time and my hair is a mess. Way to harsh for hair and skin.

Carton Refill for the win!!!

I’m beyond excited that you can now get a carton refill which makes it EVEN greener for our environment. Dr Bronner’s have already been doing their part for the environment for many many years anyway and adding this carton refill is a cherry on top. My family uses Baby Unscented Pure-Castile daily and has been for so many years now - plus it’s literally the only soap that works for my very sensitive skin. One of the best parts is that it’s so easy to find in many stores or on line making my life simple to shop. I love the different sizes we can get depending on what we need it for (small for camping / traveling, medium for longer trips, extra large for daily use so it doesn’t run out quickly!).

High quality

I use this soap mainly for laundry and as a liquid hand soap. I really liked it and recommend it to anyone interested in using cleaning products that are kind to our health and that of our planet.💚

Thin

Soap is to thin, I put it in a auto dispenser, and it spiders everywhere due to the consistency of the soap. This soap is amazing just too thin.
