Fits BV 500 easily !!
Although this is design for "Counter Assault", this bag will fit my Bear Vault 500 perfectly. I like those straps also so you have an option to hang it outside your pack and cover also protect your food content from blistering heat (direct sunlight). I put it inside my Gregory Baltoro 65 pack. It is a bit bulky and of course pricey, but I think it is well worth it in any bear country.
Great addition.
These work great with my bear canister. Sometimes it a hassel to lug around or handle the canister as it's slippery and doesn't have handles/etc. This cover makes it easy to handle and gives you options on how to pack/carry it.
Great idea, limited use
This is a great idea, but there's really no way to attach it to my pack in such a way that it does not bounce back and forth with each step. Need multiple attachment points on pack as well as carrying case
Excellent Accessory
Bought for a trip to Colorado. Makes hoisting the Bear Keg into the air so much easier than trying to tie a rope around it just the Keg itself. So far after a week's use it has held up well.
not for overnight storage!
this may be great for carrying in your pak but i hope the instructions warn you to remove before placing at least 50 ft. from your camp at night cause a bear will shred it !!

The carrying case is awesome. So simple, no extra weight, and it allowed me to get the bear can out of my pack. It was easier to pack lighter and more efficiently.
