Too bad they keep messing with a good thing
I have the exact boot from last year in a different color. My feet are swimming in these. If anything, my feet and toes have spread as I have been wearing toe spacers in other shoes and doing foot stretches and strengthening ex to keep my feet healthy. This pair is a disappointment. I am keeping them because I am a size 12 and it is really HARD to find a shoe company that makes shoes in my size. They have a cute pattern, but I wish the BOGS design team would return the Hampton boot. That was the absolute BEST for avoiding foot fatigue and keeping my heel in place!! AND, I would get tons of compliments because I wore them with EVERYTHING.
Comfortable, not durable on rough terrain
These boots are really comfortable, waterproof, and I can wear them all day and my feet stay happy and warm. However, the sole of the boots is wearing off. I wear them one day/week for a volunteer position that takes me across indoor tile, asphalt, gravel, sand, and dirt (and lots of opportunities for puddles and seawater for both). After only wearing them three times for this position, which is maybe 50% rough surfaces and 50% smooth, the wear is happening. I don't expect them to last very long unless I am very careful about wearing them only on soft surfaces (which isn't practical given the purpose for which I bought them).
Comfortable, durable for foot issues
I purchased another pair of bogs a few years ago and loved them so much, but the fabric section came down a bit too low to be used in blackberry bushes, which is where i do the majority of the work on our property so the fabric section has rips and tears. I really love these ones where the rubber comes up higher. They keep my feet dryer too. I will also say, I have really flat feet and find most work boots uncomfortable after awhile but the foot bed on the Bogs are so good I can wear them all day and not feel foot fatigue or pain. I will never go to another brand for that reason alone, but I also love how the Bogs have held up with lots of hard wear (despite the tears from my own hard use).
Questionable low Temperature rating
Boot is comfortable, traction is good but the temperature rating is questionable. I wear these boots outside all day at a farm I work at. Even with a double layer of socks my feet are cold when the temp is in the 20's. There's no way I would trust these to keep my feet warm in single digit temps. Interestingly enough, it's not the bottom of my feet that are cold: the thickest part of the sole is doing its job. It's the part on the TOP of my foot that is cold, like the rubber is too thin. Too bad, I really like the look and fit of these. They are less clunky than the -40 rated pair I have.
Good for wide feet
I was looking for rain / work boot that wasn't too heavy/warm for spring but could accommodate my wide feet, height in the toe area for my corns, and narrower heels, calves. I have flat feet and overpronate. I tried the men's rubber rain boot but it was too loose/wide in the heels. I tried the women's Yulex boot but it was too heavy and warm, although I like the dual insoles. Lastly I tried the Mesa Solid boot, and it was just right. I also like the small ledge at the back of the heel that helps with the boot removal. I can also remove the insole and put my custom inserts in if needed.
Good boot but not the same as the older models
Absolutely loved my old style Bogs- they felt like slippers. These are functional but the footbed is larger now, in the same size., and my foot slides around. Maybe it is meant to accommodate massive socks? If you need to wear super thick socks it might actually be better, but if these are for wet conditions without much cold (i.e. here in southern CA) you might want to take this into account. The other shorter pair I got fit more similarly to the old ones so I think it is an issue with this model. Otherwise they seem to be the same quality and I like the addition of the kick-off.
Strong and sturdy and nice looking too .
I own a ranch i have been using Bogs now i think 4 or 5 yrs i wear them everyday 7 days a week for several hours i have pee gravel all over so it does wear them down some but they typically last about 6 months or so, because i do use them everyday several hours a day they get wet and are in the heat and mud .. They probably would last longer if i didn't use them everyday but they are very strong and very comfortable and very warm for winter yet they were great for summer even though it got over 100 a lot this summer the best work boots i have ever had ..
Warm and perfect for winter snow walks
I love my boys boots! Have purchased them for my kids two winters in a row and decided to try them out myself this winter. They are very warm and keep me comfortable for winter walks around the neighborhoods. If I walk through 4 inches of snow, my feet don't feel any ting of cold; whereas with other winter boots, my feet would feel cold if I walked on thick snow. The only con is aesthetically the front toe area is very clunky looking but I'm a mom and I honestly just want to be warm when I take my kids for a walk in freezing weather. These are the best!
First impression they seem very comfortable
This is my first purchase of Boggs. They were easy to put on and takeoff and appear to be roomie so I can wear socks and put inserts in. They hug my calves, but not too tight and don't pinch across the top of my foot where my ankle bends like my old Chore boots I'm hoping that they will hold up to cold weather conditions because the old boots that I use have a tendency to crack in the cold they appear to be everything that I want in a chore boot, except for I wish that they had steel toes, because being stepped on by a horse is not comfortable .
Smaller calf than expected
The calf of these boots was too small, even though I have never had an issue with any other similar style boots. I wanted to exchange them for the wide calf in the same pattern, but it is not available. I ordered the wide calf in another pattern, and it is way too big. I don't know why the calves of these boots are so narrow at the top, but was disappointed as the foot of the boot was very comfortable, and seemed like they'd be perfect for cold/wet days on the farm... but with the tight top I wouldn't want to wear them.
