If you like to walk do not buy!

Not sure how to begin with a review of this product. I have worn bogs boots for years, just not this model. Nothing about this boot is comfortable or worth the price. The adjustment tab on the upper cafe is plastic & cheap. I was nervous to adjust for fear of breaking. One walk, less then a mile and I knew something was wrong. The hard rubber ankle lower area & upper softer area do not work. The two parts rub against my ankle / leg making simple walking bothersome and uncomfortable.

The BEST boots

I've lived in New England for over 15 years and it seems yearly have bought winter boots from some of the top brands hoping to find a pair that are comfortable and warm, these are the only boots that will not wind up in the boot graveyard. Sledding and walking through 2 feet of snow they feel like I'm wearing sneakers but my feet are warm with thin wool socks and there's no way snow is getting inside these bad boys. Also as someone with large calves I appreciate the fact that these are actually really good looking boots. I did have to get a size up due to the boots in my normal size being too narrow at the mid foot, please consider making half sizes.

Comfortable - perfect for larger calves

I bought these for snowmobiling! Though I have not been able to ride as of yet, I have worn these outside and am pleased. They keep my feet dry and toasty warm. Plenty of room for my wool socks and fit my wide calves comfortably! First pair of Bogs. I was unsure of what size to order. I would say they are true to size. I'm normally a 9.5 and I ordered a 10. They fit perfect with a thick boot sock. They are very cute when paired with leggings. Love the black camo print. They have a very deep tread… great for traction but also great for holding mud and tracking it through our camp. I appreciate the fast shipping!

Great fit, light, comfortable, grippy and warm

I live is a climate that is cold and wet. My winter boots kept my feet warm but not dry if the snow turned to slush. My rain boots kept my feet dry but my feet would be frozen. I needed a boot that did both, that would fit my runner's calves, and that wouldn't be too heavy. I tried on the ones without the adjustable calf but it was too tight for me and a thick pairs of pants. Without trying these on, I ordered the adjustable pair. The size was the same as the other version. So far, I'm loving these boots. After numerous hikes in deep snow, my feet are warm and dry. The weather has gotten cold and bonus, the grip is FANTASTIC as well. I totally recommend these BOGS.

Better than I expected. comfortable, warm, and dry

In the last month I've chopped down a 100'x20' area of 30y old black berry bushes and not once was I poked or scratched threw the boot. I was also stomping threw and standing in a stream over my ankles for hours and always stayed dry. I've kicked and stomped on burning brush piles and the boots held up very well threw the abuse with almost no sign of heat damage. The one time I got to go to the snow these boots kept my feet perfectly warm with a nice pair of fuzzy boot socks. I did slip a little on the packed ice of the road but I think that would have happened with any shoe with out spikes. Over all these boots have done surprisingly well and been great for hours of work and play.

I am happy with them! But a few quirks

These fit fantastically. I have 19" calves and YES these boots fit and are easy to get off and on. The only 3 things I find awkward: 1) I'm a larger person, so the treads at the bottom move around when I walk, which made me feel unsteady the first few times I wore them. We haven't had real snow or ice yet to see how this is for the weather they are designed for. 2) the little adjuster flap at the back of the calf is weird, I can't get the excess to stay in the little clip. 3) I love that there are little loops inside the boot to help with pulling them on, but I've already torn one after maybe 4 pull ons? It's not a big deal, but they are so handy it's sad that one tore off already.

My first pair of Bogs!

I needed waterproof boots for dog walks. We live on the edge of nature are often walking through mud, creeks, forest etc and this year we had an abnormal amount of snow. I love that I can just jump in them, no socks, pants tucked in - even with my generous calfs. I am dealing with a blister just below my calf where the boot flexes but I'm sure once they're worn in more that will stop. They are definitely warm and might be too warm past spring. I'm needing more arch support but luckily they are roomy enough that I can fit inserts in. Perhaps offering custom inserts would be a great add on.

Need half sizes. Doubt they'll be warm enough

I'm glad I went with the adjustable calf. I'm 5'7 180lbs. The regular boot would not allowed for me to wear jeans. I do not think I have an overly large calf. Sizing is tough. I'm usually a 9, a 9.5 in running shoes. The 9 fits okay, a size 10 is way to big. Half sizes are needed! I doubt they will hold up to their temperature rating. I live in central Maine and winters are frigid. We have not seen the cold temps yet, but at 25 degrees my feet have got chilly. Overall, I'm content with my purchase as they the boots were 25% off. Full price would make me question my decision. I am eager to see how they do in the cold snow and how long they last. My last pair of boots were mens hunting boots and they lasted me for 12 years.

Excellent for work in snow or rain.

These boots have great traction, warmth, and easy to tuck in pant leg with the adjustable calf strap.

Love these boots

I replaced my Sorels for a pair of these last winter season for use around the farm. I was skeptical that they would keep my feet warm in -20 degrees. They surpassed my expectations. I am truly impressed with the traction in snow and mud. Because of the treads they clean off easily. I like the cinch around my calves due to the different layers I wear from fall through the winter seasons. I wear between an 8 - 8.5 and size 8 works well for me with a mid-weight socks. I am going to be ordering another pair to wear at the ice arenas.
