Bogs Fan
I have a pair of Bogs and LOVE them so much that I wanted another pair. The pair I have goes just below the knee and is great for rain, snow, and cold but not so much for ice. That is why I bought this pair. They have a lot of traction and I like the super fuzzy inside. I ordered the same size as the pair I have, but these turned out to be at least a size too small. Unfortunately they were out of the next size up, but I am sure they would have worked. It felt like maybe the size wasn't adjusted for all the fuzzy lining taking up some room. Anyway, I had to return them and am on the lookout for another pair like it in the size I need.
Excellent boot for Canadian winter!
I live in the Maritimes in Canada. It’s -25C today with a lot of snow and ice down. I have spent a fortune on many name brand boots. These are by far the best! My toes are actually warm after being outside for over an hour. They have great grip and comfortable cushion inside. True to size. I’m normally a 7.5-8, I ordered an 8 and I have room for thick wool socks. The handles on the sides make it easy to put on.
Bogs Arcata boots
I have only worn these once since we had our first snow fall yesterday. The boots felt very comfortable. I have a bunion on one foot, and wearing the boots did not hurt my bunion. My feet were warm inside the boots. I am hoping they will continue to be comfortable, warm, and provide good traction when there is snow and ice.
Not as happy as hoped I'd be
Comfortable, but that's it. Snow would get inside the back of heel, even with tightened laces. Toes were also cold although temps were around 30 degrees. Not as warm as hoped. Sadly, they'll be returned.
Cute boots
Really cute boots that have plenty of foot room. I usually wear a 10.5 or 11 in winter boots. In regular shoes I wear a 10 - 10.5. I went with the 11 because 10 was too snug with thick wool socks.
Not Rated For Extreme Cold
These are supposedly rated down to -58F. I spent 2 hours on the mountain in 20F with 2 pairs of socks on and my toes were freezing cold. I was so uncomfortable I had to go down to my car to warm up twice. They’re super ugly for city boots, which is what they are. If you’re going to be on snow/ice for any amount of time, these are not it.
Sweet boots
I bought these for shoveling snow in this predicted high snowfall season. None yet in October, but they are comfy, waterproof, and VERY warm, and nice looking. Easy to get on and off.
Warm and comfortable
Warm and comfortable-the fur lining is very soft and I sat outside for 5 hours and feet still stayed warm. Like the waterproof feature as well
Warm and cozy
Warm and cozy, excellent grip on snow and icy surfaces. Fits wide around the instep, but otherwise the laces do a good job of cinching the boot tighter. The side pull up holes are fine, but I have to tighten the boot after it's on, anyway, so the holes aren't a great addition. Boot height is good in 6" of snow. I have a narrow foot, women's size 9-1/2 to 10, and the size 10 fits perfectly, with room for a thick sock.
Great winter boot
I love these boots. I wanted something as easy to slip on as a pair of Bogs but with some actual warmth. They are very warm, though I'm not sure I buy that they are good as low as -58 degrees..... The sole of the boot is so much more durable and good in ice and snow than other slip on boots. I'm really glad I bought these this winter and am trying to justify a second pair:)
