I’m not sure why it took me so many years to try Zamberlan hiking shoes after loving their boots for over 25 years. These shoes are so comfortable and my go to’s on hikes in Oregon. I bought these for dry days and have the yellow and gray of a slightly different model for wet days as those are waterproof and these are not. They are incredibly comfortable on the trail. They 100% run long. I’m a 10.5 in basically everything including Zamberlan boots but am a 10 in these with plenty of room in the toe box still. Definitely size down!

Not the typical Zamberlans!

I've had great success with Zamberlans over two decades of backpacking! So, I wanted to try their Free Blast low cuts for day hiking. Having high arches I struggled getting them on even with a shoe horn! The oval opening for your foot is way too small. Also, the toe box is very narrow compared to the other Zamberlans I've used! They aren't currently carried in my REI store, or trying them on would have eliminated a purchase! I'll continue to use the above-the-ankle Zamberlans which are outstanding!
