Excellent Outer Layer for Cold Weather Activities
I live in the Methow Valley where temps have been ranging between 20-28 degrees and I love this jacket. I pair it with a lightweight base layer and wear it both skiing and running. I ordered a large as I have found this brand runs a bit small. The pockets are great for my phone and an energy packet.
Good for active x-c skiing in variety of settings
Only had the jacket two weeks but I live 1 mile from a Snopark so I have used it daily. On 25 degree day with lots of trail elevation, I wore it over capilene tShirt and a very light fleece. The stretchy underarm and shoulder material allowed for good pole plant action. On a 8 degree day, I wore it over a merino underlayer and wool sweater. Zipped a vest over the jacket for the long downhill run home. Again, was very comfortable. The folded down hood gave good wind protection to my neck. Wish it had a chest pocket to hold my phone. I was able to fit walkie Talkie in one front pocket, and my phone in the other front pocket. Loved the very visible crimson/pink color. Wish the really large logo on the back didn’t make me look like an advertisement. Great cuff design which is compatible with large mittens or fitted ski gloves.
