Great for the price
As an avid kayak fisherman, the NRS Chinook OS Fishing PFD has quickly become one of my go-to pieces of gear as required here in California to have a PFD on the kayak. It’s a great, versatile life jacket that provides both safety and functionality on the water. The adjustable fit is comfortable for long days, and the design makes it easy to move around while casting or paddling. One of its standout features is the ample storage; the multiple pockets and attachment points are perfect for keeping small tackle, tools, and other essentials right at your fingertips. It really makes organization on the water a breeze.
The 'cargo pants' of PFDs
I purchased this as a gift for my partner and he absolutely loved it. You can tell that a lot of thought went into the pocket design. There are tons of spots to clip and stash things. The padding on the back sits up around the shoulder area so that you can sit properly in a kayak. There's just mesh across the lower back where you would usually lean back against the kayak seat. Not just for fishing - I think this PFD would be great for general use, too.
