Clean and Waterproof Again!
Great stuff!! Just cleaned and re-waterproofed the rain fly on my tent! Water is now rolling right off!
Glad I finally did this
The setup was the fiddliest part. Other than that, the process was straightforward and the results much better than expected. Just a couple caveats about the solarwash: it stinks to high heaven (like ammonia) and seemed to make damaged areas of the orig coating peel a bit — but then they got rewaterproofed so it was just an aesthetic issue.
Use to maintain gear!
I highly recommend using this solar guard to maintain your gear and prevent it from sun rotting, especially if you are in sunny and high altitude environments. Its expensive, but worth it. I use it on tents, backpack, tarps, and footprints.
