Unless your legs are the size of tree trunks these are a sizing nightmare. I'm 210 pounds, 6'2" and have a 37" waist so ordered XL as per the sizing chart., These fit very sung around the waist but the legs were like someone else said, bellbottoms. The were not touching my legs with so much extra space around the bottom of the legs. If I had ordered a L, I'm sure the waist would have been too tight. Total failure here.
Order size down. My husband normally wears XL, but I returned and got L. It fits perfectly on him. He is really happy with it.
I love these shorts. For reasons I won't bore you with, I need six panel shorts. The combination of quality and value make these my go to choice. I've owned many pairs of Canari shorts over the years and I've liked them all, however these Gel shorts are the best of the bunch. If you must, buy the more expensive brands ensuring that these will be in stock when I'm ready for another pair!
Had to return, I bought size xl based on size chart. The waist fit perfectly but the legs got bigger like they were supposed to be baggy. They were uncomfortable being a normal tight cycling short at the waist and hips only to bell out at the quads. Wasn’t for me.
I have been using these buying these shorts for the past 10 years. I do not ride more than 40 miles any more, so I do not need better shorts. These are gteat for less than 40 mile rides, and the price is unbeatable.
I saw a review stating these ran large. Very true. The medium I ordered should have been slightly tight, but they are slightly loose. Haven't worn them on the bike yet but I think they will be fine.
Order a size smaller. I ordered XL and they are a bit baggy for spandex.
