Doesn’t stay on
Does not stay on my head. It slides right off everytime I try to wear it. I wanted to love it and tried to wear it several times. The sizing runs small!! I have a smaller head and usually wear a small. This is more like child size small!
Absolutely LOVE the down hats I own
I loved my first two I purchased one for my husband and we always receive a compliment or inquiry about our hats. Thank you OR!
Down beanie for Down hill cycling
I bought this because I figured it would be warm. So I bought it mostly for function. But I'm always getting comments about how nice it looks. People really like it. Next time I will try the large size because the small is way too small. I ride my bike (cycling) in the winter. This beanie is nice when you are going 30+ miles per hour down a hill and the temp is around or under 20 degrees F. (Windchill near 0 degrees F) Though, because the small size is so small I have to keep pulling it back over my ears.
Super warm, a little noisy
This is an incredibly warm beanie that I plan on using for sleeping in the backcountry. It's very light and comfortable, though will need to be sized right as it has less stretch than most. It's made of a typical nylon shell you'd find in a down jacket, and does come down over your ears, so it is a bit noisy to wear. I'd definitely recommend it for hunkering down, but perhaps not wearing while out and about.

Ugliest hat you've ever seen
My husband got this hat to wear when going on exercise with the military and to wear in out hot tub. It is the ugliest hat you've ever seen in your life and does not fit well. Think Devo energy dome circa 1980. Not a flattering look but I guess if you're looking for a VMware functional hat this'll do. Oh and the rip stop fabric does not allow you to put another hat on top, it just slips off.
Perfect hat for my backpacking quilt
A disadvantage of my backpacking quilt was the lack of a 'hood'. I wanted a head cover that doesn't weigh much and is super warm! This fits the bill for both of those requirement!! And it packs down amazingly small, so doesn't take up any extra space in my pack! Of note is I bought the small first and switched to the large to cover my ears.
Slippage
I absolutly love the hat, the color, the warmth and how soft it is. BUT I CAN'T KEEP IT ON MY HEAD!!! It's the right size but it still slips right up my hair. If anyone knows how to fix this without using pins or headbands (I want to wear it skiing or to put on when I take off my snowmobile helmet) please please help me.
Love this hat
I had this hat for years. Well, I've had several versions of this hat for years because I keep losing them. Like many of the reviewers, I get compliments when I wear it. Don't know where the "ugliest hat' comments come from. Also, it is warm and doesn't result in hat hair.
Lightweight warmth
I use this puffy beanie along with a fleece headband and a silk balaclava. The three together meet all my needs on many a long backpacking trip and weigh less than four ounces. The beanie is too warm for hiking in all but the coldest temps. That's what the headband is for.
