Outdoor Research  Flurry Beanie

I bought this hat for work because the materials are quality and stay warm when wet. Not to mention the color and subdued logo meet my agency's uniform policy. I am replacing this hat not because it wore out, but because i lost it. I have had this hat for work all winter and fall. Of duty I have had it in Israel (yeah. It snowed on us there in December), The Italian Alps, And the Spanish Pyrenees. That hat was my buddy. Six weeks has been too long without it. I am so very happy you still make it. --Odie

I purchased this cap in the L/XL size and was disappointed to find that its cut very small. The cap just barely covers the top half of my ears which isn't really acceptable in cold weather. It's possible this is really made to wear under other outdoor equipment like ski helmet etc. in which case it might be acceptable. But using it alone I think it's more of a fashion accessory than serious outdoor gear. Would be good for a college student to wear when walking a few blocks to the corner coffee shop.

For cold nighttime strolls and early morning approaches this beanie delivers what it promises...provided the fit is right for you. I'm a medium in just about everything and this toque, in S/M fits me snuggly and comfortably. The issue I have is that it's snug to the point that sun glasses don't fit under it well - creates pressure points after 40 mins. The beanie is also very thick, so to wear sun glasses with the arms outside the toque can stretch the frames. I contemplated upsizing to a L but have read comments that suggest that it can be too big for those people that are accustomed to that size. Perhaps OR needs to add a third size option to create a S/M, M/L and L/XL.

From the moment I put it on, I was happy with this hat. Most (all?) beanies I've ever had were way too big...comically big. This one actually fits perfectly, the way I've always wanted hats to fit. Comfy too.

Bought my first Flurry ~10 yrs ago. Thought I lost it during a cross-country move ~5 yrs ago so I bought another. Ended up finding the first one after finally getting unpacked, but my Doberman has chewed small holes in both of them now... So i just ordered 2 more, one in Black the other in Grove. Just like my original ones !

What is better than a Flurry Beanie? Two of them! I like this hat so much that I just had to have it in two different colors. It is super comfy and warm yet isn't too bulky so it fits under all sorts of helmets...climbing, skiing, biking. It also looks great on its own, withstands frequent washing and is priced right.

Great warm hat. Keeps it shape. Just big enough to cover my ear lobes and I have big ears and no hair. The wool adds an extra layer of insulation and wind barrier. Didn't like it at first but the more I wore it, the more I appreciated it. Perfect cold weather hat.

I really like this hat. It's great for casual use or for hiking or before/after cycling. It has a felt strip all around so it doesn't make your forehead or skin itch. I bought the large and it covers my ears, but doesn't squeeze my head, so it's perfect. Love.

Love this hat! Fits great. You need to get your size right, as it does come in sizes, but once you get the correct size for your hear- you'll grab it on any frigid winter day! Especially here in New England- we get some raw weather.

I bought my husband this hat - he loves it. He describes it as comfortable, and it looks great on him.
