1 fatal flaw

I ordered this hat online, and I just received it. It's a high quality hat with one fatal flaw. It has a windstopper ear band that lines the bottom portion of the hat to block wind, but outdoor research thought it would be smart to put several holes right over your ears. Obviously, it was done to help you hear your surroundings, but if you were wearing a windproof hat, you most likely want to keep your ears warm and away from the wind. The improvement in your ability to hear your surrounding is is only marginally improved with these small holes, but the impact on a windy day means your ears are cold. It's a silly design, that hinders the performance of this hat significantly. I'm going to keep it because I like the color and the fit (large has a nice deep fit), but I will turn to other hat options I have for windy days.
