I love this shoe. Possibly one of the objectively best shoes I’ve ever had. The design and build quality are unmatched. These feel indestructible. The toebox is roomy enough for my wide feet. The outsole is very grippy and combined with the midsdole, they make for excellent under-foot comfort and energy transfer. They look great for casual wear too. I’d say this is almost a perfect shoe. Except for one thing: the collar. One positive for the laceless collar is that it is stiff and really locks your foot in there. The heel counter is padded and keeps your Achilles save from rubbing or scratching. The real issue is at the front, where the stiffness and shape of the collar create a lot of pressure on my instep. After a while it becomes a but painful. This shoe is definitely NOT for high volume (high arch / instep) feet. I emailed Norda about ways to stretch or improve the fit. They recommended thinner aftermarket insoles, which did indeed help a bit. They feel even better with no insoles at all, but that’s probably not a good long term way to wear them. All that said, I still love this shoe and will continue to wear it for shorter treks and more leisurely activities. But high volume feet beware. PS: make sure to size up. The Norda website says to go a full size up and they are correct. I’d even say go up 1 or 1.5 sizes. YMMV
These run a whole size/size and a half small but worth it once you find your right size. This is the second pair I've had and went up another half size for wearing with socks. Love the style, fit nice on a bit wider foot, and great arch support. Hope they come out with other style options. Only complaint is they were sent with a anti-theft sensor on them... that was annoying.
