Decent but not great
As noted in the other reviews, this runs small. It's also thicker/heavier than other Smartwool bras I've had in the past. I sweat a lot and the wool content does keep me from getting too cold at least in summer when I am in a soaking bra. My biggest issue is that the fabric is thick and holds moisture and there is no way this would dry overnight on a trip. I like it for day trips/bike rides. Would not take on a multi day trip or if I had to sit in it a long time after working out.
Child Sizes
I LOVE merino wool sports bras, but we aware these are child sizes, not adult. I have an older Smartwool sports bra which is my absolute favorite. I was excited when I saw these on sale because they are very close to the same. My older was a size M and a little big for me, but I liked the looseness so I ordered this version in a M. For context I am a 32 B and per the size chart would need a S. However the M was extremely tight and I can barely get it on, when I do it’s super tight. I ordered a L and it’s not much looser than the M, it still fits tighter than my original bra in size M. An XL would probably fit me perfectly, but they don’t make an XL size for these. Also in what world is a 32 B an XL? The answer… child sizes. I occasionally order child sizes and fit in a L-XL. I will say there is room and stretch, if I was a C or D cup, I believe there would be enough room in that area, but the band that goes around the bottom, even in size L, is stretched to the limit with my 32 sizing.
Band way too tight
I tried two sizes, both a medium and a large, and in both cases the band was very restrictive to the point of hurting after extended use. The rest of the bra feels great, material, breathability, comfort, etc. I’m a 36B/34C and the band was uncomfortably tight even when I sized up to a large. Disappointing since I love smart wools other products. The fit just wasn’t right.
A super tight fit
I'm usually a size small/6 in tops and a 34-36C. I bought the large to ensure it wouldn't be too tight, but it was super tight. I would exchange it for an XL to see if that fits, but they don't offer that size. So, I will return this product. I do like the fabric though.
like fabric but fit is off
do not like the super tight fit: M too small- my size but i doubt an XL would fit. i like the fabric and it is a heavier weight but i think i would like that. returned it.
Comfortable
Comfortable fit and supportive- use for everyday and low impact activities
My new favorite
Super soft fabric while still providing support.
