Smartwool  Intraknit Strappy Bra

This is a very comfortable bra, with just one teeny leprechaun issue. I have washed the bra several times, but it still continues to bleed green! much tighter at the body band than their previous sizing. very uncomfortable, actually logging in to get another bra because these are unwearable during workouts. There is no give and its been hurting my torso when I breath deeply. The previous smartwool sports bra I had in the same size was so comfortable.

Same review as the other style, same color: Almost everything is perfect with this bra, but a big con is the smell of chemicals (maybe dyes?) that it has. It is nauseating (and I think that's why I got sick the next day). I recommend that you wash before wearing with borax and laundry booster to get rid of the odor. Still, it won't go away. I got it on sale, and I washed it, I'm not sure I can even return it. Worst thing? I got two: one in this style and the other in a similar style. Both have the same problem. :( Good thing: it's true to size (at 5'4' 118 lb), and it looks durable. Also, it is perfect for yoga, everyday activities, and hiking. It keeps everything in place. LOL.

I like the structure and I love smart wool stuff but this runs small. I'm a very consistent medium and this is tight on me. It'll still be usable as bras and things stretch out over time but I would order up a size if I were to repurchase

I wore this Smartwool bra for almost a week straight while hiking the Appalachian Trail, and it completely exceeded my expectations. Even after days of hiking and sweating, it didn't smell, didn't feel gross, and stayed comfortable the entire time. What impressed me most was how well it pulled moisture away from my skin — I had zero sweat rash or chafing, even in spots that usually get irritated. The fabric felt soft, breathable, and never itchy, which is rare with performance gear. If you're looking for a bra that holds up during multi-day hikes or long trips without constant washing, I can't recommend this one enough. Smartwool really nailed it with this piece — it's functional, durable, and super comfortable.

I really wanted to like this bra but just couldn't make it work. It's supportive and I like the look but the design is flawed. It fits like a long line bra, but the band is narrow and just at the bottom of the bra, allowing it to ride up and roll under the breast. As a 34B I don't need a ton of support but found the rolling and riding extremely uncomfortable and unflattering. The lightweight pads also seem to slide around inside the bra, worsening the weird look. Wish I could return. I'm 5'10 150# 34B and ordered a medium which fits well around my ribcage.

Once I tried merino sports bras and underwear, I couldn't go back to cotton. This bra stands out from my other merino bras as being extra supportive (while still being a flattering design). It does run a little tight, so definitely size up if you're between sizes. I use this for everyday (no air-conditioning in the summer heat) and for backpacking. The bra doesn't get stinky, doesn't feel wet and cold when I'm sweating, and dries out fast in the sun after a quick dip in a lake or stream.

I wore this bra for 3 months in the wilderness this summer, camping and backpacking. It was comfortable, repelled odor and sweat, and kept me dry and reasonably non-smelly. I had this bra and one other wool bra that I would alternate between throughout the summer, usually for 12 days at a time without washing. I would definitely recommend! It is also such great quality that I continue to use and wear it in the front country for every day life, and it is still odor free. Amazing!!

Unfortunately the straps did not feel good against the skin. Returning.

I run everyday and love that this bra can be worn more than once without getting smelly. I also love the straps design in summer so my back isn't a swamp. I bought the red and green colors. The red is great but the green bleeds onto my skin and clothing when I sweat. I thought a wash or two would fix this issue and it has not. Curious if the blue would also do this. I won't be wearing the green one again. Maybe I'll get a different color.
