[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As someone who is in between sizes, I would say to definitely go up to what you think your bigger size would be . The fit is tight, as it is made to be multipurpose on a trail, so it will hug your foot. The material is great for water repellent. The feel was initially intense, but after being in them for some time it subsided. The design is great for arch support, but I don’t think I needed the support in that regard. I would change how intense the arch support is, but I believe the fabric throughout is a game changer in a positive way. For running through park trails, this sneaker holds up.
I’m surprised there are bad reviews. I had the 4s and I actually like these more. Since the reviews said to size up, I got both my normal size (7 1/2) and 8. The 7 1/2 fits so much better! I walked around my house in the 8s and they loose around my ankle—My foot was lifting out of the shoe a tiny bit. There’s a little more compression than the 4s, but I actually really like that for running on grass. So I recommend keeping your normal size unless you have a wide foot. I don’t consider my foot narrow, I think it’s pretty normal.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second pair of Trail Pegasus, and I like it more than the first one :) The Pegasus are a staple for any running enthusiast, but I hadn't worn a pair of trail shoes until recently, and I'm sold. The sole has a lot more grip, which makes these shoes truly "all-terrain", both for trail runs but also for every day walks. On top of that, these shoes include Gore-Tex material, making them water resistant (no more excuses not to go for a run in light rain!). They are as comfy as their non-trail Pegasus counterparts, and they have a very similar fit. This color combination has quickly become a favorite for their versatility. As with any Pegasus, I'd recommend sizing up half a size if you regularly run long distances (6+ miles). Looking forward to many trail runs over the summer!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These shoes are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. When I first put them on I was shocked at how comfortable they were. It is like stepping on a cloud which is great since they are for running/hiking. I use them to do HIIT workout which include several types of movements and cardio and they were very supportive and comfortable. They do run true to size which is great. The design is also very sleek and appealing. I got the black color and they go great with everything.
I have bought Nike shoes for forty years and have never written a negative review until now. I just bought the Pegasus Trail 5 Gore Tex and immediately noticed that this pair has less tread and doesn’t have a one piece outsole like my Pegasus Trail 4’s (which I love) so when wet the pieces can and will come unglued over time. Also, the ankle cuff is super loose this time so it has no purpose. I know Nike can do better especially for the price customers have to pay. Just Do It.
These Nike Pegasus Trail 5 GORE-TEX shoes are outstanding for all trail conditions. They offer great waterproofing, keeping feet dry and comfortable even in rain, while still being breathable. The grip handles steep, slippery surfaces with ease, and the cushioning provides lasting comfort over rugged terrain. Plus, the stylish design is versatile enough for casual wear. Highly recommended for anyone needing a durable and reliable trail shoe!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow! These are my new go-to workout shoes. I do everything in them and have experienced no problems during my Zumba, cycling, running, and HIIT workouts. They’re super spongy, almost like walking on one of those rubber bouncy floors at the playground. The mesh material keeps them airy and lightweight. They don’t have much grip on indoor hard floors but they still get the job done. Outdoors they’re great and really flex well with the changing terrain. The curved sole in the back has a unique design and allows for a lot more mobility than a flat shoe. It’s almost like rocking in a rocking chair! If I could change one tiny thing I would like to have the foam piece on the back heel sit a little higher for more support but it’s not a big deal at all, just a personal preference. Regardless, these shoes are still so soft and comfortable. I’d definitely get more of the w pegasus trail 5 gtx in different colors!
Have worn my pegasus trail 4 to the death and needed new ones. Ordered the pegasus trail 5 last week assuming they'd be just as comfortable however I'm incredibly disappointed. The new version is not nearly as good and the changes they've made are certainly not for the better. My feet don't feel supported in them and they feel very stiff and almost like your foot is sitting on top of them rather than incased in them like the pegasus 4 felt. I've worn them a few times now to give them a chance and I won't be wearing them again. Please revert back to the pegasus 4 as they were the best version!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hiked General Sherman Trail in Yosemite with the Nike Pegasus Trail 5. Great shoe for comfort and versatility on moderate trails with a mix of paved and dirt paths. Pros: Comfortable, good traction on most trails. Cons: Limited traction on steep/loose terrain, no rock plate. Overall: Good for moderate hikes, not ideal for very technical trails.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These shoes do not disappoint! I wore them hiking, great support and no slip! No breaking in period required . I have also worn them walking my dogs and they were just as comfortable, with great support! I wore them to the gym for some hit workouts and they provide good stability with flexibility when needed. Highly recommended!!
