Not really any wider than other socks
I was thrilled to find these socks. I have wide calves and had just come to accept my outdoor socks would be too tight and leave marks in my calves. I ordered two styles - these and the no cushion micro crew. The good: Socks are soft and feel sturdy Feel just as high quality as Darn Tough socks The not good: These just aren't any wider than a standard sock. I should have done more research before ordering because there are so many reviews on Wide Open's site that say the same thing. I really hope Wide Open takes this feedback to heart and goes back to work on these socks. I joined their tester program but haven't seen any update yet that would indicate a change. Sadly, both pairs have been returned.
The difference is noticeable right away
I had no idea my socks could be too tight. I've been wearing Darn Tough for years because they're so comfortable and so durable, but when my miles went up, I was getting blisters between my toes. I was already wearing wide toe box shoes -- what else could I do? Poking around on the internet, I came across the thought that my socks might be too tight. Darn Tough apparently has already had this idea, too. I bought a pair of these socks and they're amazingly comfortable....and no blisters so far..... I just wish they came in all the styles and fun colors as the regular Darn Tough.
Great for wide feet!
Great for wide feet! I have bunions and wide feet and these socks don’t squish my toes together! They are very comfortable and I like the colors.
Comfortable
I bought several pairs a few months ago and they are always the first ones I pull out of my drawer. Similar to the Darn Toughs I have worn for years, but more comfortable for my widish feet and ankles. Still holding up well. I wish they made more colors and patterns.

Hallelujah! I have really wide ankles/calves. I have tried a wide range of brands of socks, and none of them really fit until I bought these. THANK YOU. Now to try them off on the trail. Keep 'em coming!
