I'm a dedicated Eagle Creek luggage freak!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Since 2016, I have owned Eagle Creek's Tarmac AWD 30 and 22 in the olive green. I love them both, and they're still in great condition! I wanted an in-between size for the week-long get aways, so of course I looked to Eagle Creek's new Tarmac line up. I purchased in the Arctic Seagreen, and absolutely love the color! I also love that this one only has the two back wheels, and that it opens down the front, rather than to the side. My week-long wardrobe fit perfectly in this luggage while being in Eagle Creek's pack-it organizers. I would highly recommend this luggage to anyone looking to add to their existing Eagle Creek collection.
Good lightweight medium size 2 wheel bag.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Eagle Creek's no matter what warranty is a big plus. Needed a larger bag with 2 wheels (4 wheel bags don't travel rough surfaces well and wheels are weak) and this fit the bill. The bag opens like a flap, unzipping on both sides which is a little unusual. Only issue is it doesn't unzip all the way making the last few inches a bit difficult to pack but we use packing cubes so no problem. Also, the bag does not have a piggyback strap. This is a negative...I can piggyback in on my smaller bag but it would be a little more convenient if this bag had a piggyback strap. Otherwise, a top notch bag from Eagle Creek.
Great size for an extended trip
Not a carry-on but great for a checked bag
Good Design (Protected Wheels)
This particular suitcase hasn't been used yet, but I have used another of similar design by the same company. That one has survived multiple airline trips, though one zipper pull did get broken off (the suitcase is still very usable). I recommend cutting off the cord zipper pull extenders before the first airline trip to protect the zipper pulls. This new suitcase will be the perfect size for my daughter's summer travels. We like the fact that the wheels are more protected than on most suitcases, which was the main reason for buying it.
Excellent piece of luggage with some unique design improvements
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great piece of luggage! There's a couple of design elements that I wondered about and have grown to really appreciate--the protected section at the bottom of the suitcase is really nice for things I don't want to get bumped around; the handles are sturdy, don't stick out and there are lots of them--very clever; of course, the recessed wheels are sturdy and awesome--a strong link in the chain rather than the vulnerable one; and it's bug but sized so that it would be hard to go over 50 pounds. Nice job!
Meh.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s light and well made, but otherwise kind of frustrating. It’s narrow and deep and angles in at the top, limiting what and how you can pack; it always seems to be very hard to close, because judging the angle when the flap is open is hard. It’s also hard to access whatever is packed in the bottom without unpacking everything. I have a 22” squared-off soft side backpack carrry-on that fits almost as much. Not what I was hoping for in a wheel-aboard.
Great for road trip/travel. Holds a lot.
I bought this for a half day travel a week stay. Held plenty for more than a week could have been 2 weeks since have performance wear breathes doesn’t absorb odors. Also held two pair shoes plus my 20 some bottles of supplements and dozen or so tubes. Zippered mesh pockets very useful stay organized. I didn’t even unpack. Just had it laid out horizontally. Easy to get stuff.
Old Tarmac
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had the medium old 4 wheel tarmac, to say I loved that case is an understatement and cannot find anything like it in the uk anywhere. Left the old one in a camp in Afghanistan and was stolen by the Taliban. Hope the love it as much as I did. Think the new design is not a patch on the old one and looking at gear warrior instead, still not as good though
One Week Wonder!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Perfect for a week-long trip, packed with light-weight, summer clothes. Love the fact that there are handles on three sides of the luggage, and that the telescoping handle can be safely tucked into a zipped compartment to help alleviate damage caused by airline transfers. Typical top Eagle Creek quality, and the dark green looks classy, too.
I have two great old
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have two great old soft sided two roller Eagle Creek bags of two different sizes. I had hoped to replace them through my recent order. Unfortunately the newly designed bags are not anywhere as practical as my existing old bags. Too bad. Real would have liked to remain an Eagle Creek bag user.
