Features

  • Lightweight, breathable mesh uppers help keep your feet cool yet are durable enough to withstand scrapes, slashes and quick-drag movements
  • Textile has a haptic print, which creates a 3D effect that adds durability and texture, helping make it easier to keep the shoes clean
  • Flexible, durable support in the toe areas so that when your toes splay when lifting heavy weights, the uppers won't feel restrictive
  • Secure lace lock systems attach to the tongues to help keep your laces in place so that once you tie them up, you can focus on your workout
  • Extended medial rubber rope wraps add rigidity and support; wrap stretches from the midsoles to the uppers and adds some support in the uppers for multidirectional movements
  • Wrap on the sides for durability and support, so that you can scale any kind of rope climb with the same repeated velocity without worrying about wear and tear
  • Hyperlift plates in the heels are larger than prior version for stability when you're getting after tough workouts like split squats, dead lifts and other lower-body exercises
  • The plates help force weight down and out while adding rigidity in the heel—that firmness helps you feel grounded and supported, specifically under heavier loads
  • Dual-density midsoles—with firm foam on the outside and soft foam on the inside—provide responsive cushioning for lasting comfort during continuous cardio and movement
  • Full rubber outsoles provide durable traction for dynamic movements like cleans and walking lunges

Great for my workouts

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This shoe is a great addition to my workout gear! I got it in black and love how sleek they look and also admire the fine details. I’ve used them for running, walking, and strength training. They are now my go-to pair for walking and training. When running, I have a very heavy foot fall with the bulk of pressure landing in my heels, and I find that there isn’t quite enough padding as I’d like in the heel of this shoe, especially when I am running on super hot pavement. I have wide feet and typically need to find shoes that are a little on the wider side, but these shoes fit my feet really well! They are comfortable and I can see myself using them for workouts, long-term.

Firm with flexible toe box

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received my usual size 8 and the Metcons fit nice and snug with thin socks. I think it's a good stable shoe for squat variations and other leg exercises because of its firmness, and also a good hybrid shoe with flexible toe box for crossfit exercises. It bends without pinching my toes. The fabric is light and breathable. The only thing I would change is slightly lowering the shoe around the ankles. It barely hits my outer ankle bone and because that part of the shoe is so firm it hurts a little during certain exercises. The design is probably my favorite thing. I got the black one and it's sleek and simple; it just looks like a good shoe!

Great Shoe for Cross Training

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I primarily use The W NIKE METCON 9 for cross training activities. I do like to run but I do not think they are great for this purpose. When I first tried the shoe on I was skeptical since they felt tight and did not have much give. However, the more I wore the shoe, the better they felt. They help stabilize my foot during cross training activities and gave just the right amount of support. The main draw for these shoes is the design. They have a very modern and clean look to them and can be paired with any outfit. I also liked the fabric as it was breathable and stretched out over time. Overall, these are a great shoe for cross training activities and can also be paired with an athletic outfit and worn on the go.

Great Cross Trainers!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These Nike Metcon 9 shoes are great for cross training! They have a supportive heel and are made of a breathable material that keeps my feet cool when working out. The shoe ran a little small on me, but I liked that my toes didn’t feel tight in them. There is a Velcro strap designed to prevent the shoelaces from coming undone mid workout, but I found that strap a bit unnecessary and annoying to lace the shoe up around. There isn’t a lot of tread on the bottom but overall these shoes are great for crossing training activities.

Nike Metcon

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Nike Metcon 9 has a unique look and design that I really like. The shoe is durable and has a hard sole which is great for lifting weights and will hold up well over time. The shoe is quite stiff and does need to be broken in to maximize comfort but after much wear, it's great for exercising and will be my go-to sneakers for weight-lifting workouts. One thing that I would change about the shoe is the velcro lace cover. While the intention is to hold the laces in place and tied, it will eventually cause the laces to fray.

Great for workouts!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve only ever worked out with running shoes and I did not realize how different the experience is with proper shoes. Working out with this shoe keeps me steady and supported. It has a wide enough toe box so my feet have the space needed to be comfortable. My only complaint is that the ankle area is higher than I’m used to and lands in an awkward (to me) spot, but this is still going to be my go to workout shoe. Performance is most important, but let’s not forget about it’s look. It’s a beautiful shoe!

Awesome shoe for lifting!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This new Nike shoe is awesome. It has a sleek, fresh design that makes it look super cool but more importantly, it’s a great shoe for any type of workout. I wore them to a HIIT workout and I’ve never had a shoe feel so sturdy while lifting weights. It also felt super comfortable and durable while running on the treadmill. The little strap to Velcro down your laces is a small detail but a huge added bonus. No more untied laces in the middle of a workout! Highly recommend!

Do NOT recommend.

I was so excited for these to come out, but I ended up being so disappointed. The toe box is wider than the 7's and 8's, however, it is not "foot-shaped," so I still had to size up half a size in order for my toes to fit. Even then, the lateral sides of my foot/toes were squished against the side of the shoe, and the medial sides had a lot of extra room. The ankle area came up too high, so it rubbed against my malleoli (ankle bones). Overall, the shoe was heavy and stiff. I am still wearing my MetCon 5's from 2020, and I am desperately hoping Nike will go back to making something more similar to those! :(

My new fave workout shoes!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These shoes are excellent quality. The fabric feels very durable, which is a must have when it comes to work out shoes. I ordered my normal size and they fit perfectly. I lift weights frequently and the firmness of these shoes helps me to feel both balanced and supported. I love the design, it goes well with literally anything that I wear. The inside is made of a soft foam and is very comfortable I had no problem wearing them all day.

Workout shoes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very stylish pair of training shoes. They have a nice grip so they are perfect for gym workout and weight lifting. I found out that they run a little bit small so definitely you will need to size up . I also noticed that the base of the shoes is a little bit firm so will need a lot of breaking and also no lift to the heels ( not cushioned enough) so I would not use them for running . Overall they are a nice pair or workout shoes.
