Aero vs Cross
I have been moving to shorter, lighter and more breathable shorts with Salomon. I have run in 7" shorts for years and considered them the norm. When I got better and more practiced at running I started wearing the Salomon Cross line almost exclusively in the 5". With every increase in proficiency I moved ahead in gear. I tried the Aero line thinking there wouldn't be much of a difference, I just wanted a 3" short for that day I really felt fast. Wow, there is a big difference between the Aero line and the Cross. I may have to re-buy all my shorts in this lighter material. They feel great! I didn't think my favorite 5" Cross could be improved on, but now the Aero line is my favorite. I got the 3" on a whim and added a 5" after how great the first pair performed.
Great do-it-all running shorts
I've had these for about a month now and have used them in races and daily training on road and trail and they feel great. Super lightweight and stretchy and feel very premium. They're definitely on the slimmer side in terms of the fit on the hips/thighs (different feel than splits/baggier shorts) which I wasn't used to but I have no complaints since sizing-wise they're perfect and the stretchy material makes any higher knee lifts feel unhindered. Overall I'm very happy with the product.
Solid Shorts
These are a really comfortable pair of running shorts. Nice lightweight fabric, perfect length, slim fit, but do not feel at all restrictive. The only downside is that the exceptionally comfy liner is that it doesn't breath very well on really hot days. Would also prefer if there was a zip on the pocket and one at the back of the shorts as well as the front. That said, I expect these to become a go to pair in my running wardrobe
Gear Keeps Getting Better!
Salomon running gear keeps getting better and better! The attention to detail in the pockets around the waist and how they tie into the separation of the inner liner is genius. The material handles sweat and drying perfectly. The most lightweight and supportive pair of running shorts in my collection.
Front pockets? Side gaps?
The shorts would be better with zero pockets, a front and centre pocket makes no sense, and then there is this weird side hole from the waist down on both sides, maybe these shorts should have instructions for all these weird features.
SENSE AERO 3''
This is my 4th Pair of Sense Aero Shorts, and in my opinion the "3" are Best suited for the all round option. Great product, quality is still good but Miss the small zipped pocket.
Great shorts!
I love these shorts - great for training runs through to ultra marathons. They're really comfortable, well made and lightweight. My go-to shorts at the moment, very impressed!
Comfortable, Light, Breathable, Secure pocket
Comfortable, Light, Breathable, Surprisingly Secure front pocket so long as you don't mistake it for the vertical side vent on each hip, which passes straight down the leg.
Great but even better with a back pocket
Great shorts, comfortable liner but would be a 10/10 if it had a back pocket. I do like the front pocket for 2-3 gels but sometimes you want to carry a bit more.
Perfect Inseam
I'd been looking for shorts that weren't true splits, with a short inseam and these are the best I've used so far. The fabric is very light and dries quickly.
