Sizing wrong
Bought my size medium but end up exchange for size large as European size runs a bit small than US sizing
Shorts work very well for me
I can fit a 250ml bottle in the front waist pocket, a phone in the back and gels on the sides and I don’t feel any issues with rubbing or pressure spots. The short material is kind of mid soft but seems relatively sturdy for how light it is. The waistband/ pouch pocket is running belt material adjacent and hugs the waist nicely. Not restricting and works well with the rest of the short. The liner is just basic and fits fine. Overall, for the price, it’s great quality great features.
Salomon Sense Aero shorts
I recently bought two pairs and I must say, at first I was hesitant due to the price but I decided to treat myself. I do a lot of trail running so these shorts are absolutely perfect. They fit amazingly and are very comfortable and light. I love the built in half tight liner. I typically fluctuate between a Large and Medium and I went with a Medium in these. They are worth every dollar!
Very comfortable, no chafe and holds many items!
These are my new go-to short for races and long days. The pockets give you storage for at least 6 gels (all that I’ve gotten up to so far). The material is fantastic and no chafing whatsoever. Short material is super light and doesn’t grab on the liner like other shorts. Have gotten these wet from pouring water on myself and they were dry super fast! Ran most of the run with dry shorts.
Long run storage
I'm really impressed with these shorts. The integrated liner briefs are incredibly comfortable and keep everything secure without chafing. What sets them apart for long runs is the storage—they hold a ton of nutrition without bouncing around. Highly recommend if you need high-capacity shorts that feel great mile after mile.
Great shorts but needed to go up a size
I usually wear a medium in shorts and pants but these are sized smaller so I got a large and it fits perfectly. Went on a 4 mile hike and the liner provided support and the shorts are quick dry. The back zipper pocket is a must and fits my iPhone 17 Pro and a small car key. No other pockets though.
Great product but colour washes out when washing
Great product but when hand washing the colour seems to wash out badly
Quality
Fit is great exceptional product puchasing another pair
So Close to the Best Trail Running Short!
I normally don't write product reviews, however, for this product I feel it is important to share my findings in the hopes this helps others. The pros: Wide waistband, lightweight fabrics, integrated tights liner eliminates chafing (trail runners & triathletes have leg muscles, resulting in rubbing skin on skin that no amount of Body Glide will prevent!), centered rear pocket = no bounce for keys / phone, split side leg seams promote good textile flow, fabric dries quick, loops in the back perfect for ditching jackets mid-run. The Cons (just one really big one): Flat-lock seams in the crotch / groin area are fine in dry weather. However, in humid or rainy conditions (northern Vermont, low 60's to mid 80's for rainy runs, each run exceeding 15+ miles with elevation gain) the seams all resulted in painful chafing in a not so nice area. Yes, lots of Body Glide was used, per usual, My one big recommendation to Salomon is to compare these shorts to other competitors or particularly triathlon shorts. Triathlon shorts are specifically designed without any seams in the groin / crotch area for a reason. Wet garments and seams of any kind make the athlete most unhappy!!! If Salomon's designers are able to make modifications to seam selection and placement, these shorts will be perfect!
