Like the length, fabric is light, fit small
These shorts fit what I was looking for because they are long enough, split, and feel light. However they fit small, the large works best for me but I am usually a medium in shorts. The mediums tended to ride up and the fabric felt scratchy when it was a bit more fitted. The brief has some seams and the fabric itself feels scratchy (all sizes), it is quite uncomfortable. I actually cut out the brief, and that works much better for me. The shorts are comfortable, and they work, but they aren't amazing. The best/closest to good I have found recently, and I needed new shorts this year. I have worn them for several long training runs in the heat and also gotten them wet swimming and they stay comfortable and don't ride up. Also wore them in a road 1/2 marathon and they were good.
Waistband is way too big
I absolutely love the fabric of these shorts. They are incredibly lightweight and breathable. However, the fit is baffling. The waistband of the shorts are so large they don’t properly sit on the body. The fit on my hips is normal, but here’s a comically large gap at the waist. Plus, there’s no draw string to tighten the waistband! So I have to either roll the waistband or pull them down to my hips low-rise style which makes them ride weird at the crotch. If you are a woman with hips, avoid these shorts.

New Favorite
I cannot say enough praise for these shorts. They have become my go to for weekend long runs (around 3hrs) in my current very hot and humid climate. The shorts are so light and feel great whether dry or wet. They even stay put with no chafing after getting completely soaked with sweat/melted ice water. The inner brief is comfortable and airy—I don’t even bother with undies. The shorts are very easy to wash, and I just hand them up to dry. Then they are ready to go again in a few hours.
I love these shorts
I have chubby inner thighs, so I am always on the lookout for shorts with more than a 2inch inseam. I've resorted to men's shorts, because they seem to be the only ones that have a longer inseam but not a ton of extra fabric just flowing around. Until now! These shorts *absolutely* fit the bill. I love the very lightweight, where they ride on my hips, and thigh coverage. I've run up to 20 miles and no chafing!! Love, love, love these shorts.
Great lightweight trail shorts
I love these shorts. The material is really lightweight and stretchy. The small pocket in the front is just enough room to carry a key which is all I need most runs. The fit is very flattering, and the split leg allows for easy leg movement. These shorts are really simply designed, and yet perfect for what they are, amazing trail shorts. Also, I love the inseam length!
Fits very slim
Really like these shorts, they are super lightweight and comfortable. I am normally a small but I sized up to a medium. I almost wish I sized up to a large, but I was concerned the waist band would be too loose. For reference, I am 5'7" and about 140 lbs. To achieve the same fit as the model, I would definitely go up two sizes from my norm.
Great lightweight shorts
I don't normally wear a lot of shorts, however these were worth making a change in my ways. The shorts fit really well. They are super lightweight and feel comfortable. They look good with the lightweight full zip jacket I purchased in the same color. It is excellent of Salomon to provide wardrobe options that help when travelling.
No drawstring to tighten waist
I love most Solomon running items. These shorts are just okay. The lightweight breathable fabric is great, and they have excellent storage, but there is no drawstring to cinch the shorts tight. So if you carry a phone on your runs or want to take full advantage of the storage, the shorts will not feel secure.
Perfect lightweight shorts
I'm new to running and bought these after trying another model geared more towards hiking. They're so lighweight I barely feel them on my skin on hot and humid evening runs! Definitely a comfortable must in my active wardrobe. I went for the longer version and the butt is completely covered so another plus.
Had to Return
I bought these hoping the split sides would be good for someone with “bigger” thighs but these were not it. The waist band was way too big but the thighs were tight meaning even if I went down sizes, they would not fit. The material is so nice and I really wish they worked for my body shape
