Sizing Notes
Evolv shoes are not designed to be downsized.
Evolv sizing uses three categories of fit: Max Performance, Performance, and Comfort.
Max Performance : Choose street shoe size. Ultra-snug fit to deliver the maximum possible performance.
Performance : Choose street shoe size and add .5 to 1.0 size. Snug fit for longer sessions.
Comfort : Choose street shoe size and add 1.0 to 1.5 sizes. Comfortable fit for multi-pitch or entry level.
VOLUME
All Evolv climbing shoes come in Low Volume and Medium Volume models.
Low Volume : Designed for a maximum performance fit and lower volume foot shapes.
Medium Volume : Designed for a performance fit and average volume foot shapes.

I must have tried 30 pairs of shoes until I finally discovered these by chance in the Re-Supply section of my local REI. I tried them on, they felt a little tight at first but broke in nicely and have worked out beautifully. Since then, I ordered two more pairs. I don’t ever want to run out of these. My feet are very wide, and I have a pretty high arch. These run quite small, for reference I normally wear 7.5 women’s LaSportiva. I wear 8.5 men’s in Zenist. I’ve only worn them for indoor climbing so far. Highly recommended for wide feet. Also, it doesn’t hurt that they are beautifully designed.

I purchased the Evolv Zenist for outdoor bouldering in the same size as my street shoes, and I must say they are perfect. They have no gaps and fit the shape of the foot perfectly. The shoe is really soft and smear easily on the rock. It is particularly suitable for overhang bouldering but also for situations with less steep terrain, where the need for smearing is greater than the support provided by a stiff shoe. The rubber compound wasn't new to me, as I’ve already used Evolv shoes, and it offers exceptional grip in all conditions. Highly recommended for both indoor and outdoor bouldering.

Good training shoe. Very soft and sticky rubber. I really like it for smearing and also climbing steep overhangs. The heel is pretty mid imo since the rubber is so soft heel hooks on smaller holds don’t feel as secure as they would on stiffer shoes. Also the heel is narrow but is deep so there is some wiggle room for me in the bottom of the heel. I am considering getting the low volume version of this shoe
