Happy shopper - Chakara Support Bra, Cove, Small
Ordered REI sale item online 2 days ago. Recd very quickly via USPS. Love my purchase! The Chakara support bra fit perfect, feels secure, comfortable, soft. Perfect for intense workouts. True to size— I am 5’4-3/4”, weight 107, size 2. I ordered small, color Cove. I can wear alone or under top. Will get again if available, and in other colors.
Good outweighs the bad
Going by the size chart, I needed a Small. When I put it on, it fit but was not at all supportive. I returned for an X-Small. This was much better. It fit, it did not feel too tight, and I could run without a lot of bounce. That said, the plastic adjustable piece does not stay put, so if you have a short torso, you might experience a lot more sagging than desired. The pads are removable and of course get rolled up when you wash the bra, so you do need to stick your finger into the tiny hold to unroll them--let's be honest, it's gross to not wash the inserts, so you're not going to remove them for washing! All said, I really like this sports bra because the high neckline means I can run without a shirt on hot days, and the support is enough for me to run long distances without pain.
Broke after 6 months REI wouldn’t return
Back clasp broke after 6 months of wearing it to yoga class. Tried to take it back to REI under their return policy, but she said it didn’t qualify because she couldn’t determine if it had been regular wear and tear. What?! The rest of the bra looks fine. Some of the metal pieces had scuffed corners, but what in the world? A bra should last more than 6 months.
Clasp/fastener broke after one week
Comfortable and good fit, but metal clasp/fastener broke after wearing bra for one week
