Super cute and comfy! BUT NOT BLACK
I am in love with this jumpsuit. I have been eyeing it for years and was always scared away by the price. Patagonia recently changed the style of this jumpsuit which I know a lot of people are unhappy about, but I love it! It’s super comfy, lightweight and has pockets. I surprisingly had to size down to XS because the S was baggy in the crotch and overall unflattering (5’5 and 125lbs). Would be super cute styled with a shirt underneath, or works well with just a sports bra. I haven’t taken it hiking yet, but plan to this summer so we’ll see how it goes! The tag says the color is ink black, but IT IS NOT BLACK. It is not even close to black. It is a charcoal gray. So if you’re ordering online, don’t be fooled by the name. The old jumpsuit used to really be black, but not this one. Overall I’m in love!!
Buyer Beware - Not like the old style
ABSOLUTELY AWFUL. Buyer beware this is not like their old jump suit. The fit is off. I honestly look like the Batman penguin villain. I am so sad that Patagonia decided to make this product change, I wear the old one WEEKLY and was trying to repurchase, only to sadly find out the change.
New version is awful. Bring back the old one!
I had to return it. I was so disappointed. I purchased the old fleetwith style in 2022, and that bad boy still is my go to outfit for almost every occasion. Dress it up, dress it down, it works for everything. The major differences between the old style and new style are as follows (1) the back is no longer the incredibly flattering cross cross/layered style. It’s now a solid back panel. This contributes to a much boxier look than the original. (2) the elastic waist band is much thinner and positioned poorly. The waist band of the old style contributed to a gorgeous and flattering waistline that is lost with this new style. (3) the fabric is MUCH thicker/stiffer in the new style vs the old. This makes it way less flowy, breathable, and it just doesn’t rest on your body the same way. Why on earth they did away with the old style for this subpar version I will never understand. Thank god I still have my old romper. Fingers crossed she lasts me till the end of my days.
Jumpsuit
Bought these items for AZ and Vietnam…..just finished my AZ trip and so many compliments! So comfortable even after in the sun for two hours….so i sweat alot….but this baby dried quite nicely
Bring back the old style
I was really excited for a smaller size option in this newer version but the crotch fit weird..it was really long. A really awkward fit overall. I returned and purchased the older version on sale and got the shoulder fabric taken in.
Great light travel option
I’d eyes this romper for a bit but never bit the bullet because I assumed it wouldn’t fit. I’m 5’3” and the proportions work for me! It’s not too long or weird in the waist, maybe the back pockets are a tiny bit low, but that’s really all. XS and S both worked but I opted for the small which I normally size down with Patagonia’s sizing but not this time. As for out and about it has held up well for being crammed in a suitcase, impromptu hikes, sweat, shifting gears to go to a museum, being washed in a hotel sink and drying overnight. My only complaint is the material feels a touch too artificial and is a tiny bit shiny, but I think that’s what gives it all the other good qualities, so it’s a trade off I’ll take when there’s limited room in my bag.
Bring back the old fit! Structure is off
I’m 5’4 and 128lbs. I have the old version of this in black, size small, and it fits like a dream! I’d wear it 2-3x a week at times, so I was excited to purchase a new color in it. However, this new version fits horribly. Legs are too ungodly long, tight yet baggy in all the wrong places, and the drawstring hits at a super unflattering place. Bring back the old version! I’d maybe only recommend this if you’re 5’9 or above.
I like the new fit better
Last time I tried this jumpsuit the fit was not for me. It was too tight around the midsection and didn't sit right anywhere. It seems that I'm in the minority by preferring this version, but the fit is so much better. There's more fabric around the middle, the legs are longer (appreciated by anyone with a long inseam), and it's just more flattering overall.
perfect for all the things
Again I can’t say enough good things about the Fleetwith material. I have the skort and pants too. I especially love this jumpsuit! It’s so easy to dress up or down. I have traveled in this, worn it hiking with my dog, and worn it to work too. I will be wearing this any chance I can!
Comfortable but retains BO
5’8”, ~137 lbs. The small was a bit tight in my thighs so went with the medium. Overall comfortable and super lightweight. The only downside is it really holds onto smell. I wore it for about 5 hours (only 30 minutes of it was actively walking) while out and about for the art fair and, despite wearing deodorant, it was really smelly after.
