Amazing for cold weather!!

I loved these shoes! I went to Iceland in March and they were amazing! I was looking for waterproof hiking shoes that were also warm and not a bad price. These came up in my search and they fit all the marks. The soles of the shoes weren't for me as it was hitting a pressure point. But my dad got the men's version of these shoes and the soles were perfect for him! I was able to walk in a river without getting my feet wet! They also stayed dry during the snow, rain, and wind storms! I definitely would not recommend getting them if you don't live somewhere cold because when I tried them on at home my feet were much too hot. They were perfect for my dad and I visiting Iceland! We talked consistently about how we loved our shoes throughout our trip! 100% recommend if you are looking for very warm waterproof shoes!

Garbage, not true to size, heavy.

WORST BOOTS! ABSOLUTLEY AWFUL. I cannot believe these got such high reviews. (That's why I bought them). We are going on a 10 day trek in Nepal and I am so glad I did a test hike first. They are not true to size (def need to size up), the toe box is extremely narrow, it fits very awkward and rubs everywhere. I just hiked 7 miles in these and my feet are raw. So disappointed. They are also pretty clunky and awkwardly heavy compared to other like boots. Overall no from me. Returning them.

Warm and cozy trip hazard?

These boots are incredibly warm and cozy, but they're unusually big in a weird way. I bought my usual size in boots (9). There was a good amount of room in the toe box, which I appreciate and enjoy in all my shoes. The size accommodated a nice warm sock. When they first arrived, I asked my wife if they looked BIG on my feet. We agreed that I didn't buy them for fashion, so who cares. I wore them on a weekend camping trip in February. While my feet were toasty (if not hot when wearing thicker socks), I kept tripping over my feet. These boots are big in scale... They fit, but the boot itself is wide and longish? I must've tripped ten times on a short hike. My foot-eye coordination eventually adapted, but I ended up returning these boots. But A+ for warmth!

Amazing for all the weather!

These boots are so great, I’m shocked they don’t have more reviews. These boots were put to the test on a 6 day winter weather trip to Iceland. Rain, snow, ice and straight up flooding, my feet were dry and happy. I had zero sore feet even after all day walking. I felt secure hiking and walking on ice and slippery surfaces. Lastly, they looked nice, stayed clean and my feet were always the perfect temperature. I highly recommend them and Salomon has a fan for life. Excellent quality and craftsmanship.

The best there is

My feet are wide and I was really scared that these shoes would make my 2 week trip to Europe in the winter super uncomfortable. However, they were truly my saving grace. I was so comfortable and it protected me from subzero conditions. My feet never got wet once! 10/10 would recommend.

Love them!

I bought them a month ago, and they are super useful for the rainy, cold days in Vancouver. I have used them to do short hikes and I am amazed how they don't get very dirty and it is very easy to clean them. Also I don't get hot when I am using them indoor.

Very comfortable out of the box

I tried on 3 pairs of winter boots at REI and these were, by far, the most comfortable. In fairness the others were rated for colder weather with higher ankle shaft so I might need to use foot heat pads in very cold weather. In the meantime, these are so comfortable. TBD on rain/wet weather.

Takes time to adjust to ankle height.

I’m used to wearing the hiking shoes so the feel of ankle support is annoying. Boot doesn’t have much of a rock plate as I did feel the rocks more.

Size up a half size no matter what thickness socks

Need to size up a half size for sure, no matter what thickness socks you wear. I got a 9 and had to size up to a 9.5. My big toe went too close to the front edge of the shoe for comfort, even though the length of my foot standing up checked out to the proper length for a size 9.
