Press and hold the power button for 5-8 seconds
I like it - compact, the strobe works well. They really, really, REALLY need to make it clear that you need to hold the button for 5-8 seconds to turn it on. I'm used to devices and lights that you turn on with a "press and hold" on the power button, and I thought mine was defective, because I wasn't pressing and holding long enough. Press and hold until it turns on. Upside is I got my book lamp running again with the batteries I bought for the Nathan. The light and electronics are sealed, good for being weatherproof. 112 hours on strobe is great, but you will trade compactness for having to buy 2 of the more expensive 2032 coin batteries.
Cheap and bright
I picked these up as a lark at a running store, thinking they'd be nice on my dogs' collars. It would be awesome if these shipped with even modest instructions, because I thought I'd purchased duds, or needed to remove a battery barrier to get them to light up. Turns out you have to hold the power button for 3 seconds to turn the things on. At that point you can cycle between the four modes (solid, blinking, chasing, directional). It's curious that the different color casings have different perceived brightness...the blue one I purchased is noticeably brighter than the red one I purchased. Here's hoping they're up for some rough travels and have a decent lifespan!
Not great in cold weather
I was lucky to win this light as part of a prize following a trail race. Otherwise I likely wouldn't have given it a try. After the very first use, I realised that the light doesn't do well in cold weather. I run and cycle commute and in winter the daylight hours are short, which means having a functioning light is important. Pretty much as soon as I step outside, the light stops working. I've tried it in just below 0 degrees celsius and in -15 degrees (and colder!) and in all cases it doesn't withstand the cold. I'll have to give it a try in the summer when the temps are much higher.

This product does not work in the cold
I have 2 of these that I have clipped to the back of my Nathan running vest. Half way through my run at night I discover that they both had stopped working. After warming them in my hands they started working again. 1/2 mile later they stopped again. Thought it might be the batteries but they again stopped working in the cold. As soon as they warm up they work again. Tried putting them in the cold and they stop working. Because of my schedule most of my runs are at night and I need to rely on my safety equipment. (outside temperature during the run was 28 degrees F.)

Great light, but not in the cold
We have a number of these lights for running, biking, and bike commuting. They are bright and attach anywhere. However, they don’t stay on when it’s cold out. My rechargeable Nathan lights don’t seem to have the same problem. I was on my way back home on a run tonight, for example, and my front light (this one), just turned off on a dark sidewalk leaving me with no front visibility until I removed the light, ran with it in my hand for a few minutes and got it to turn back on, but only for about 2 more minutes. I use these as a secondary light when bike commuting and they turn off all the time on my commutes when it’s cold out. A little disappointing even if I know it’s because of the cold affecting the battery.
Lime green safety light.
Perfect little safety device. I do wish that there were directions, as they are not intuitive to use. Press and hold the power button for 5-8 seconds to turn on, and same to turn off. Most folks will simply assume tat their new light is defective instead of pressing and holding the button down for 8 seconds. Set it on flash and it is easy visible in the dark from a quarter mile away. Put one on the strap of your running cap, and clips second one onto the front of your collar, and your protected coming and going.
Eats batteries and has a short life
The light goes through batteries really fast for an LED light, and it lasted less than a year. Assumed the batteries were dead (again) when it wouldn’t turn on, but even with new batteries it doesn’t turn on anymore.
Battery drainer
Had high hopes for these lights - however they drain the batteries really quickly - and the batteries cost the same as the light itself. Would not recommend.
Only if you're desperate.
Very cheap and good for a quick pick-up if you need one immediately. Not very bright and mine broke after two uses.
Not bright; dangerous
Wore this for the first time today and it doesn’t illuminate anything. I had to repeatedly check to make sure it was on; I couldn’t even tell. Running in the dark can be dangerous, and a company that actually cared about its runners would take that responsibility seriously. (I wrote this review in my head on my first run with this light and then promptly tripped over a rock that i couldn’t see in front of me and sprained my ankle. i’m not even joking.)
