[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently took this headlamp on a camping trip, and it was a game-changer. The brightness is incredible—at its highest setting, it really lights up the whole campsite. You definitely don't want to accidentally look into it because it's no joke! It made setting up the tent after sunset and finding my way around in the dark so much easier. There are several brightness levels to choose from, which I found super useful depending on what I was doing. I read my book in the tent with the lamp on the lowest setting and it was perfect. I also love that I can remove it from the headband and just clip it directly on my sweatshirt or to a backpack. Would definitely recommend for night hikes and camping!
The Nathan Luna Fire 400 is versatile: strap it on as a headlamp, wrap it around your waist or chest, or detach it from the band and clip it anywhere for hands-free use. Its brightness is impressive—I enjoyed using it as I ran through the pitch-black sections of a nighttime ultramarathon with it lighting up the trail like daylight. That said, the battery only held up for a couple of hours, either having to recharge it or use a different light source. Clipping it to clothing caused an annoying bounce for me, so I mostly just carried it in hand (though that's a personal choice). Solid pick for shorter night runs, but I'd pack a portable charger or opt for something with longer endurance for all-nighters.
I've been using the Luna Fire for a few weeks now – safe to say that it's held up to my high expectations! I've primarily used it during nighttime dog walks, now that it's getting darker earlier. I especially like how you can adjust the angle of the light and the different brightness settings so I don't blind anyone coming my way. I also love how you can remove the clip from the strap – I brought it camping with me and clipped it on the inside of my tent!
The light is very bright, and I like that it has multiple brightness settings. However, it's unusable with the elastic strap that is included with it. The light stays attached to the strap, but it jiggles around so much, no matter how much the strap is tightened. The strap also has a tendency to loosen itself over the course of wearing it, making the jiggling even worse. It might be fine for walking, but it does not work for running.
The Luna Fire 400 RX Chest/Waist Run LED Light is a lightweight versatile tool. I brought it on our camping trip and used it multiple times. I used the chest strap for a night hike. It was great and easy to change brightness levels. I also just clipped it to my belt as I was doing to chores around the campsite. I really like when I can you product for multiple things. I see this as a must have for outdoor adventures.
Honestly, this was really overpriced for the product. The power and light options are frustrating to get to work, and it doesn't stay charged as long as some other headlight products that cost less. The chest strap is okay, but it's not as steady as others.
Excellent brightness levels, light beam is very concentrated and strong. Comfortable to wear as a waist strap, love the rechargeable feature. I do use it clipped upside down otherwise the beam is too downward angled, but love the product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Super bright light. It opens up trails in the dark and just in general, I feel safe on the roads and sidewalks when running or walking around the neighborhood. Bonus points for being secure and small.
Love this light! It performed great the whole time I used it and is going to become a staple in my camping and outdoor gear lineup. Super bright and helps me know I'm going to stay safe.
Bought this years ago. Has never worked. Changed batteries…nothing. Eventually threw it in a drawer. Don’t waste your money. Batteries more expensive than the light.
