My mom loves this light for walking at night
My mom has been walking more at night and wanted something that was easier to carry than a traditional flashlight. She is not the kind of person that would carry a headlamp or chest lamp, so this seemed like the perfect compromise. I gifted it 6 months ago and she uses it almost daily. It works great as a flashlight when walking, and around the house too. The independent operating mode for the red light is great for safety. That's actually the feature she uses consistently on walks. It's also very simple to use and charge. The wrist band is easy to put on and doesn't feel cumbersome. Highly recommend this over other cheaper imitators.
works better than expected
Used on a recent trip to peru in back country. Illuminated jungle floor and possible tripping hazards. When I needed the light to be brighter, I pressed the on button and soon, my companions didn’t need their lights anymore. One thing I like about it especially is it takes a moment of holding the power button to actually turn the torch on. I never found it turned on accidentally when it was in my backpack unlike other lights.
BEST Flashlight ever!!!
I’ve only had this for one day- I will update again after I’ve used this more. I waited until it was absolutely dark outside. I turned it on low and could see 100 feet in front of me on the lowest setting. The highest setting illuminated my neighbor’s trees about 400 feet away. It illuminates a wide circle in front of me too. Even though it is handheld, I experimented and was able to attach it to my bike helmet and around a beanie with a Velcro strap. Can’t wait to use it in France- we tried a headlamp that was highly recommended to ride our bikes back to our campsite from the beach, but it was lacking in lumens. This will be more than bright enough to set up my tent as well. The fact that it is rechargeable it fantastic! Thank you, Nathan for making fantastic products!
The Handiest Hand Torch.
The Polaris Hand Torch feels light in the hand and is easy to keep in close contact, with its adjustable hiking pole strap. I’ve found it’s handy to use when working indoors in unlighted spaces and outdoors after dark, because the hand torch remains attached to the wrist, allowing the hands to hold a wrench or screwdriver. It is very helpful to illuminate the path ahead when walking at night. The one tap adjustments from low, mid, and high beam plus the optional rear facing red light are all advantages. Easy to recharge.
Easy in the hand while lighting your way!
This is the best flashlight for the following reasons; 1. Ease of carrying with the adjustable strap much like a hiking pole strap, 2. Lumens easy to illuminate higher or lower torch as needed, 3. Flashing red tail light separate from forward facing torch that can be used as needed. 4. Light weight allowing your hand to remain open when torch is held with the hand strap.
If you walk the dog or are a runner at night!!
Worth the purchase - unique features that a standard flashlight does not have - this is my 2nd handheld flashlight.
