I bought these in October 2023 and it has unfortunately been a large regret. I am very disappointed in these shoes. Cons: - Heels are too narrow and create a cupping/gap that allows for movement that wears on the shoe (see images), wear on socks and on my heels. I have cracked skin on both heals. - The tread on the shoes wore off in 2-3 runs on soft dirt trails. - The PWRTRAC ICE (rubbery/synthetic cork like material used on the shoes tread) is so easily worn off (see images). - The shoes shape both in the heel and ball of the foot causes pain and rubbing. - The "Waterproof your run" is a joke. I have ran in several other brands that are much much better at keeping moisture out. My feet were wet after 10 minutes of running in rain. Pros: - They are nice to look at.
I purchased these to replace well worn Perriguins. Perriguins have soft netting. These are waterproof and have a firm uppers. This needed some “getting used to.” They felt stiff and smaller. Within a couple weeks, they are fine. 7 km per day, more on weekends. Regardless of Winter weather here in icy snowy Canada.

Bought this shoe for my winter miles. The good: they keep my feet warm and dry, they are comfortable (a little on the narrow side though). The cushion is ok but maybe I am spoiled by the Endorphin Speeds that are my fair weather favorite. The big disappointment is the traction for a shoe with ICE printed on the side I expected better much much better. On packed snow or ice I have multiple shoes that have significantly better grip. I know this is a shoe designed for trails and I am a road runner so review may be a little unfair but the ICE version of this shoe is a little disappointing.
I have only tested these around the house. I like the back of the shoe including the elevation in the heel padding around the outer rim of your heel which distributes the heel impact. It grips my heel well. I also like the ripstop material (all the mesh shoes collect and leak sand). I don't like the tongue which is not gusseted (in a waterproof shoe?) and I know will leak sand as well as water. The tongue is also thin and I know from past experience that thin shoe tongues lead to eventual pain across the top of my foot from lace pressure. Finally, the toe box is not quite high enough. My big toe is at least 0.5 to 0.75 inches back from the front of the shoe but it is touching the top of the toe box and this hurts after awhile. Will be returning. The search continues.
I bought these shoes a few weeks ago with the primary purpose of keeping my feet dry when I am out walking in the rain during my lunch breaks. Living in the PNW has already given me ample opportunities to try them out while it is pouring rain, and the shoes have been great for keeping my feet relatively warm and dry. The reason I chose these shoes over a shoe with more cushion though, was that they were marketed as being good on ice - but after going for a walk on icy sidewalks I can report back that they didn't seem to add any benefit when walking on ice. I slipped just about as easily as I did when I walked across the icy parking lot in my tennis shoes. So I'm not really sure what icy scenario Saucony envisioned these shoes being used in.
Not a running shoe. I have been running in Triumph 19 for the past year. I recently bought the Ice 3+ because I wanted something for wet weather. It is described by Saucony as versatile enough for roads or hiking trails. I tried it out today and for the first time since my first 5k about a year ago, I could not do a whole 5k. My IT band was getting very tight. I injured it years ago, but have not had any trouble with it in more than twenties years. The Ice 3+ feels grippy on the wet road, but it was a laborious run and also not good for supinators. Actually, I have not been running much in the last three months and this was my first run in almost a month, but I am fairly certain that my IT band would not have stopped me if I were wearing my Triumph 19s.
I bought 21days ago and am returning. Very disappointing the insole/footbed is so high on the sides of the heel, plus it is still ; so it is cupping my heel /squishing it narrower than it should AND my heels are narrow and i where a C or D. Forefoot is fine. I have used Saucony Peregrine trail shoes since the Peregrine 6 and loved them . Wish I could use this shoe but nasty to even walk in it . And it got worse after about 10 wearings around the house .
I bought these on Black Friday for winter training runs. I have had these before and these new ones are so light, fit better, and the grip is great. We have had a milder winter than normal so have more ice than snow. I just ran 8 miles on frosty trails/sidewalks and small patches of ice from the previous days melt and the grip was excellent. Very happy to have purchased another pair.
When winter hits here, running conditions can be absolutely brutal. Icy, snowy, wind swept roads and sidewalks. The Peregrine ICE are the first shoes I've found that give me the traction I need to tackle major miles in the winter. And they feel / fit like a great running shoe. Like driving with winter tires - you're not invincible but you feel a heck of a lot more safe out there.

I have long bren s fsn of the Peregrine ICE. I recently tried a different shoe by s different manufacturer. I was suffering with knee, ankle and hip pain with walking nevermind running. I decided to go back to the ICE and almost instantly I felt relief. I have great grip no matter the surface and comfort too. Thank you Saucony.
