I got these for a training event for the military that required a lot of trail running. They were a lifesaver. However, following the event they started to fall apart. Specifically, the styrofoam. I got over the fact that they were no longer aesthetically appealing and they still worked just fine. Im buying another pair. For a pair of trail shoes, I expected that they could have handled more beating. That wasn't the case though.
I love how comfortable these sneakers are. However, I’m upset that they cost so much and the outside of the soles are breaking off. Saucony needs to do better. They look awful and it happened within a month of my purchase.
I bought about a month or so ago. Very comfortable and good looking shoe although the sides are peeling off on the green part. Not happy. Looks bad
I have a somewhat wide foot and appreciate the wider toebox. I'm not sure that I've ever put a more comfortable shoe on my foot and was extremely happy until about 10 days in when the color/material started wearing away from the sole. Hoping it's a fluke and I have a replacement pair on the way. Here's hoping. This is too much to pay for shoes that only last a month???
I have loads of saucony running shoes so bought these for travel. I hate them. I don’t know why they have a sock like liner that is useless and make the shoes tough to get on. no support. They feel really cheap. I also find them about half a size small in the black color. Very glad I bought them super discounted because I’ll be leaving them behind in the hotel.
We appreciate your feedback. Thank you.
These shoes began having issues day one, unstabel insole, less than 20 miles of training the outer sole began peeling away. Was hoping for more so I could alternate training shoes. ON Cloud for the win still.
This is my 2nd pair of RIFTS; although I was not convinced with my first pair after 50 miles or so, as I thought the lacing was short 2 eyelets and a padded tongue, just switching out for grippier laces helped tremendously. I was worried that the toebox was too tapered, too, but over time, the insole/midsole bedded in enough that I could maintain toe space, so I bought this 2nd pair (in women's 12) to complement my first men's pair in 10.5 (I just liked this black on black colorway) as a back-up for up to 50k distances and my training runs when I need serious lugs.
Thanks for sharing your feedback!
Loved the shoes When I first received Receive them but within a month started flaking and look terrible.

Wow!! This is what the Endorphin Edge was trying to be: fast, grippy, light-footed and super FUN! The one drawback is the fit/lacing. The shoes fit beautifully in the heel area but get a bit sloppy towards the forefoot where the laces don’t go far enough down to get a secure lock-in. Will work well for wider feet though. My first run was over an hour on a mix of pavement, grass and snow and these were just a blast on every surface. Version two just needs better lacing and this’ll be a perfect do-it-all shoe. It’s better than the endorphin edge (more stable and softer) and the peregrine 13 (more fun, bouncy with more accommodating toe box). I would train and race in this shoe from 5km XC to 50km and beyond on all but the most technical trails.
A most excellent shoe; grippy, cushy and provides a ton of stability. I'm over 50, and have had multiple spinal fusions. Previously, trail running was out of the question for me because running on uneven surfaces caused me a lot of pain. The Saucony Rift has been a total game changer! The overall stability and comfort of this shoe has me going places I've previously stayed away from - I'm on the trails now, running off road with success and total comfort. I also love the 'sock' feel around the ankle & the grippy sole. I live in MN so on snowy mornings when my regular paved trail is covered in snow, the Rift keeps me on my feet when road shoes would be out of the question. This is a GREAT shoe. Extremely comfortable! Highly recommend!
