The TC Pros don't work for my foot shape, so I decided to give these a try. Turns out I absolutely love them. They're not as stiff as the TC Pros, but they are WIDE in the forefoot and fit my duck feet like a glove. I have them in two sizes - one for all day comfort and the other for single pitch stuff and/or tiny foot chips. The all day comfort size is the same as my running shoe size and the tighter ones are a half size down. I hope Evolv never stops making these!
Even though these are synthetic leather, my shoes stretched dramatically. I bought them a little smaller than I would want (toes curled to the point of some discomfort) and they have stretched to the point where there is about an inch of space between my big toe and the tip of the shoe. I would have to wear thick socks with them if I didnt want my feet to be swimming in them! I really did like the shoe before they stretched so much- comfortable and good for a variety of styles, but they are mostly unwearable at this point (except for extremely easy climbing).
Very nicely made but the sizing is off! My Katanas fit comfortably at 37, and with the Yosemite Bum LVs I can just barely squeeze into 39s. I wouldn't recommend buying these online without trying them on first to get the sizing right. Once you DO get the sizing right, they rule. A very nice alternative to TC Pros if those don't agree with your foot shape.
These are expensive, but you get one free resole! Almost like two shoes for the price of one. I use them for bouldering indoors, and they feel good and look good and don't completely destroy my big toes.
Returning my second pair of these for the right size. I think they'll be perfect once I figure out the sizing. I wear a women's 8-8.5 shoe and am returning a women's 9.5 because they're still too small-even for a high performance climbing shoe. Since no area REI carries them, it's a fortune in shipping return fees!
These shoes run really small. I’m typically a womens 8/euro 40 in climbing shoes (even in this brand), but I needed to size up to a womens 9.5/41.5. The color is also off in these photos - they are gray/black. They are comfortable once you get the correct size!
