I received the used product. I am so disappointed.I am going to return them. REI will charge for shipping.....
I don't consider myself an avid climber, but I do frequent a couple times a month and I am very beginner. I bought these shoes and they were great while I had them but after 2 months of light use the eyelets holding the lace snapped. Within two weeks three of the eyelets broke and I couldn't use the shoes anymore. Luckily REI took them back. However, if you are intending of using these shoes for more than two months I would suggest looking at a different brand/style.
Just purchased these as a quick replacement for my 5.10 shoes. I was REALLY surprised at how small they run. I usually wear a size 5 women's street shoe and I had to size up to a 7 in women's. I really like the fit of these. They do have a downturn but they aren't aggressive. I know I'll be able to climb hard but will be comfortable. The heel cup is really shallow and it doesn't go too high on my achilles tendon (which is usually the problem I have with other shoe brands). Hope they perform as well as they fit! Fingers crossed.
I've had these shoes for about a month now and they are holding up really well still. During this time, I have climbed in them on average twice a week for almost 3 hour sessions, top roped and bouldered outside once, and had a pretty big rock crush my leg/foot and it actually protected my foot LOL. After all of this, it has only mildly begun to look like a pair of well-loved shoes (and mainly because of the rock that fell onto it). I made sure to break into them a few days prior to actually climbing in them. I would simply just wear them while watching TV or reading, and I think that helped a lot when I started climbing in them. They make climbing so much easier and I am very happy with my purchase. I get many compliments on them too! I will make a comment on the sizing, which is that I had to get half a size bigger than my normal shoe size. Overall a great shoe.
I’ve had these shoes for over a year and finally had to get them re-soled. I have bunions that aren’t ideal for climbing shoes but these shoes perfectly molded to my feet as they have worn in. These were my first pair of shoes and were used for some bouldering and primarily rope climbing, 3 times a week. Size wise, I’m typically a size 7 in everyday shoes but size 6.5 fits perfectly. Highly recommend trying on in store if possible. Overall, I really enjoy wearing these shoes and would recommend to anyone looking for their first pair.
Narrow last and heel with medium asym. It's my go to comfort shoe for all-day climbing, from trad to multipitch to long gym session. Great for slab but the heel did get a bit baggy for me so not the greatest for steep roof heel hooks. Still gets the job done. Otherwise good grip for intermediate to hard technical routes (5.10-5.12). Same as shoe size. Sized up 1.5 for my shamans.
When I tried them on in store they fit a little snug but how I wanted them to fit, then after hiking to a crag and I put them on they were way too small. It hurt to even step in them. So if your feet swell at all after hiking or if it’s cold, I would recommend sizing up a bunch. I usually wear a 40 - 40.5, and already sized up to a 41 which is STILL too small. I’ll have to try a 41.5 or just go with another shoe.
I have been wearing them about half a year and climbing roughly twice a week, and they hold up well so far. I am impressed by how comfortable these shoes are. I can wear it all day. My feet are relatively narrow and got a 6 for these (5.5 for street shoes). I am happy to continue wearing them to solve some v3’s and hopefully v4’s soon in the gym!
I honestly loved these shoes. Im a 5.5 in womens and got a size EU 37 from Evolv. They’re comfortable and did not take long to break in. Great for beginners and slabs! If you have wide feed, would probably not recommend as the toe box is not big. I wouldnt say my feet are exactly narrow though.
I liked these shoes. I have been wearing them for over a year and they still look and work great. I hit the climbing gym about 2 to 3 times a week. They were a little tight at first. I got a blister on my big toe the first time I wore them, but then after that they somehow fit perfectly. They even fit and adjusted to my feet all during my pregnancy. I bought them in my street shoe size. I am a size 6 in street shoes.
