Within 10 months the shoes had worn through in the heels to the point of a hole. These had been used indoors on rubber matted gym floors, so I couldn't possibly imagine they would hold up to any sort of hard trail running. The durability is extremely poor for the price point when compared to other barefoot shoes of a similar price. Wouldn't recommend for anything other than walking around. Previous Merrell products have been significantly better than these. I enquired with Merrell about the durability and their response was that gym flooring was not the intended use, as if that is some how roughed than trail terrain.... bizarre.

I bought these shoes 2 weeks ago, they arrived a week after they were supposed to, granted, it was the week after christmas, so delays can be inspected. I've worn the shoes for all of 3 times, with maybe 5 hours in total. In the time, the inner branding on the sole has come off. I thought it was a lose thread, but on further inspection of the shoes, they are just poorly constructed. Threating on the shoe is already getting lose or breaking, and the part where the rubber sole meet the end of the fabric is already coming loose. Mind you, I haven't even worn them out or worked out in them. They were worn around the office and driving a car. These are not worth the price they are charging. I would have sent them back and asked for a refund if I hadn't tossed my old shoes when these arrived

I bought these in the summer of 2023 and the tread wears out fast on them. I wear them working out and while running errands. At any given moment there will be a hole in the soles. I love the fit and colorway but I'm not a big fan of the tread wear. I own other barefoot shoes and the tread on these wear the quickest.

Good minimalist shoe

This shoe is my first try of "barefoot" shoes and I'm enjoying it so far. Fit is perfect with space for toes to spread and the laces lock the shoe to your ankle so I've not had my foot bunch up into the toebox. The sole is thin enough that you can feel every stone and the shape of the ground but thick enough that it's not uncomfortable. Grip is excellent you could climb in these ok. For travel these are perfect backup footwear as they can squash almost flat in your luggage if you travel light - carry-on only. They don't mind getting wet I've used them while kayaking and wading out onto mud flats. They have a pleasant quality feel to them too. I purchased these with the intention of having light backup footware which doesn't take up much space in carry-on luggage and trying "barefoot" shoes.

I received a pair of these as a replacement for a pair of Vapor Glove 5 shoes that the treads were literally breaking off of. The good news is that the soles of the 6 are more flexible than the 5, and the ground feel is closer to the feel of the Vapor Glove 4. The bad news is that despite a different tread pattern the treads are breaking off the same way they did on my 5s.

These are really comfortable shoes, but after only 4 months of wear there are holes in sole of the shoe under both of the heels. As other reviewers have mentioned the upper is also coming away from the lower at the stress points where the shoe bends. While barefoot shoes do come with some compromises, having to buy 3 pairs of trainers per year would seem to be excessive.

Best version yet!

I have a this shoe for a few weeks now and this is the best version yet. I have had every version except for the first one. This version is very comfortable. It is a true barefoot shoe with a very thin and flexible sole. The toe box is nice and wide and this me tread is very grippy. The fabric is thicker and softer than the last version. It is also a good looking shoe. It doesn’t look odd or strange like some of the previous versions. It would be great if they made an all leather version like the Luna vapor glove that was previously offered. I just hope Merrell doesn’t stop making barefoot shoes. They make some of the best minimalist shoes.

Very comfortable although the longevity of these shoes is questionable. 2 months in I nearly have zero tread left with the seams seperating even with cycling the shoes out out use for others.

I like the fit and the feel. The sole started wearing out almost immediately. After 3 weeks I have large bald spots in the tread. Great shoes if you dont plan on actually wearing them.
