Nice shoes, but not for me.

Out of the box I really liked the shoes. They seem to be of quality construction. The sole is pliable and they are BOA! When I tried them on they were comfortable and didn't change how I plant my feet when walking. However, the heal doesn't lock on enough for me. I felt like I would have heal slip after a few miles of hiking. Therefore, I returned them and will continue my search.

Waterproof, light-weight, max-cushion & rock-plate

I love the shoes! Pros: They are comfortable, light weight and the lacing mechanism works beautifully. If you are looking for waterproof, trail shoes with max cushioning and a rock plate, these shoes fit the bill. You do not need to upsize the shoe by half a size as they are true to size. Con: They do not hug the heal as best as some other running shoes like Nike.

Excessive heel slippage

There is a lot to like about these shoes. They felt comfortable out of the box. With the GTX liner and rock plate, these could be a great choice for gnarly trail runs with rocks, mud, and snow. Unfortunately I was unable to control excessive heel slippage with the BOA system. I think conventional laces would have worked better.

Heal issue

I agree with other reviews, fit is strange. Heal is not locked and moving a lot, not a big deal for casual walks but feels very unsecure for trail runs.
