Best Tent Ever

I am really glad I purchased this tent. I have used this tent 3 times now and it has never disappointed me. On one trip the winds picked up to 25 mph and the tent held up great. The build quality is the best that I have ever seen on a tent for this price. Taking this tent on a bicycle touring trip along the Oregon Coast this summer and I'm confident that it will hold up with no issues. Thanks REI for helping me out on this purchase.

Bomb Proof 2 Pole Tent

I haven’t tested the tent in the field yet but wanted to get my first impressions up. This is a solid built roomy 2p tent with a simple 2 pole design. In fact, this is the roomiest 2 pole 2p I’ve seen on the market. The fly buckles into the tent which is far superior than a slot for the pole to go through. This is built bomb proof, and comes with a quality footprint. Packability is pretty good. Cons: the interior only has 3 pockets but says 5 in the description which I bet id a mistake carried over from the 3p, and the tent bag is bigger than it needs to be. Buy this tent if you’d rather a tent use vastly more durable material compared to a UL tent at the cost of an extra lb. Buy this tent if you prefer a simple 2 pole design, which are tough to come by these days.

Nice all around tent.

Good build quality, simple pitch, not overly heavy for backpacking with two people splitting it up. Not a surplus of storage but you might add a gear loft if you wanted that. On the weight issue it weighs 2 oz. more than a Hilleberg Soulo I used to have -- and they're 1P, 4 season tents. I'm pleased with my Meridian 2, have recommended them and yes, would buy again.

Easy to put up, and didn't let me down

Bought this as an additional tent for our early 2000s MH 2 person tent. This tent did not disappoint. It rained the off and on the entire weekend but not one drop of water ended up inside. I have found these tents to be extremely easy to put up, we got to the campsite after dark and with only two poles needed to have it upright, I was ready to go in about 7 minutes (likely only because the ground was hard and it took a minute to get the stakes in!). The interior pockets were in convenient and intuitive places, no snags in the zipper and the materials are high quality. My Pops loved MH gear for his long haul bicycle trips, and I can see why. We have had great experiences with this gear!

Best tent Ever

I have used this tent a couple of times. The first time I used it the winds were blowing 15-25 mph. The tent held up great. This tent is well built and really easy to put together. The zippers are the best of any tent I have owned to date. I'm really glad I purchased this tent.

Great tent! Please improve footprint

Love the tent. Well-made, easy to assemble, and held up during the worst storm I’ve camped in on first use. Only complaint (and only thing keeping this from being 5 stars) is the footprint doesn’t have ringlets for the poles and is designed to be staked only. Makes this hard to use when camping on rock.

Solid

Bought this tent last minute because the one I originally ordered was delayed in shipping. Easy to put up. Solid materials. Only drawback is just 2 guy lines but easily remedied with a bit of paracord for stability. Didn’t budge in the wind. Think this one is a keeper.

Solid tent, but a little small

High quality tent. The poles were extremely solid. The fabric was also very solid, although the zipper seemed a little thin. Ultimately I had to return this tent because the dimensions were too small. I'm 6' 2" and I couldn't lay flat inside the tent.

Excellent value

Excellent value. Not quite perfect but I’m still rating it 5 stars. On my first trip it was tested by a 4” rain together with hail and high winds. The inside stayed dry and the tent suffered no damage. That rates 5 stars. The tent has some minor improvements over an older model that I have used for years. I liked the old one so I bought another one. I think there are some better tents made but not at this price.

Great tent for price

This tent has been awesome. It's first trip was a two week coastal trip, and it withstood wind, downpouring rain, and more. It's a nice size for two people (my roommate and I are around 5'3). It is a thinner material, so it isn't going to be super warm for winter weather, but it kept us very comfortable during our trip and will continue to do so for many more!
