I was really excited to get these Trekking tights. All other product I own have been very high quality. I love this brand however on my first trek in these tights, I rubbed my leg on a rock and the tights ripped just below the knee. I do not think it was aggressive enough to rip my pants and I am really disappointed in the quality for the price. The pockets are nice and I was warm and comfortable throughout the trek. Wish they were better quality for the backcountry.
I have had these for a month. I have been wearing them as everyday leggings and has been comfortable. I chose the size small (130lbs). Usually choosing a size smaller on leggings for me makes them not slide around as much. Has that neoprene feel. Will update with colder weather and rain. Feels a little too warm when doing small hikes in mid 50’s F. I did buy them for the colder months. Updates to come.
First let me say that I'm not a person who wears tights - never have been - but these have changed my mind. I was on the fence about ordering for the longest time and I'm so glad I finally did. They are thick enough that they feel more like pants to me and oh, so comfortable. The waistband is high, but not too high and the overall fit is just perfect. The leg pockets are deep and secure and the reflective piping at the ankles is a really nice touch. I had thought I might need to wear long underwear with them to be warm enough, but the wind proof panels are a life saver and they are plenty warm if you keep moving. (*An added bonus is that dog hair does not stick to them!) I'm 5'6, 140 lbs, average build and the Medium fits perfectly (In the Keb's I wear a 38EU)
Went hiking in the Lake District and discovered my abisko tights were too large. Fortunately, I found a Fjallraven vendor and found these tights, which turned out perfect as I need a bit more insulation. I love the feel of these. They kept me warm on some pretty brutal days. They dry quickly. I am absolutely in love with Fjallraven tights, and these are a new favorite.
After 2 years wearing these in most color (I own 6 pairs), I can promise to the guys out there the thickness of the tissue finally allows a pair of tights to be worn by men without the ‘bump’ showing. Humble yet sexy. I am 6’3” and 100kg and started with the L. Actually the M even fits. Pricy but unkillable.
Great leggings for winter hikes! Comfortable and warm. Perfect for a day hike in colder weather (used them in 20 degree temps).
So I’ve been wearing Fjallraven’s Trekking Tights HD all summer here in Alaska and have been really excited to purchase these for winter hiking. I’ve decided that leggings are much more comfortable for me because I love the freedom of unrestricted movement. I got them in the mail today and was deeply skeptical of their warmth rating due to them being paper-thin. They didn’t seem that much thicker than the other Fjallraven tights I wear. So I took them on a trial walk around my neighborhood in 24 degrees F and my legs were very cold. By the time I got home the skin on my legs were red, and I was gone for only a half hour. Oddly enough, the coldest part of my legs were my thighs - where the wind panels were supposed to be. So I wouldn’t recommend these for winter hiking, but maybe they will be warmer with more strenuous exercise. And yet I don’t think I will risk ruining a mountain hike by trying these out again. Perhaps they will be better in the interim seasons like spring or autumn. I am on the fence if I am going to return them or not. I’ll probably hang onto them because they are very comfortable and soft. Fjallraven is my favorite brand, so it makes me sad to leave this review. I am 5”7 and 140lbs. The medium fits perfectly.
