I just got done with a week away on business using this backpack and it held up extremely well. I packed it full as a carry-on for my flights, but it worked equally well in a professional office setting. The straps are comfortable to wear and the pack felt very light even when packed full. I love the various pockets and storage space. It was very simple to organize.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Rhune 22 does not disappoint. It’s every organizing freaks dream. Amazing for traveling and everyday commuting. I can fit everything I need inside with room to spare, while being ultra organized with all of the compartments. Great tech storage! There is room for my laptop, mouse, and pad. All the charging cords have their own pocket. I can also fit my external charging battery & phone charger. It’s now basically my purse and backpack combined in one, with room for my large water bottle & lunch box. The only thing I am not 100% in love with is the rigidity of the back laptop panel & length of the backpack for a shorter person. I’m 5’5”, and wear my hair down in a low bun a lot of the time. The backpack is a little too long on my short torso. I have to tighten the straps tight to get the backpack to sit comfortably and high enough on my back so the bags entire weight doesn’t fall completely on my shoulders. But when I tighten the straps it pops the bag up high, so if I lean my head back or move my head side to side, my neck hits the stiff spot & my bun gets caught on the rigid laptop rectangle support on the back of the pack, is just slightly too tall for me. I would love to see this product come in an even shorter size for us vertically challenged folks. Thanks for an awesome, spacious & well thought out product!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Rune 22 isn’t going to help you send your next project or set a new FKT. It probably won’t make you a better employee or get you a raise. But it will satisfy that gearhead itch to get a seriously quality piece of gear that you will love using day in and day out. Your stuff will be secure; the things you need will be at the ready, and you won’t have that weird back sweat stain from riding your bike to work. Actually, there is a good chance part of that stain will still be there, but I would bet it won’t be as bad.
I bought this bag in 2022. I have used it–and loved it–for absolutely everything–work, school, travel, hiking. It is such a well-made, versatile bag. It has great pockets, it's adjustable, it's comfortable to wear. Mine is starting to get a worn out just from using it every day. I came back hoping to find the exact same bag, but am bummed to see it's not currently available in red. I am going to try a different bag, but I hope Gregory will bring back the red. I would happily buy it again!
I have used my Rhune for 3 months now as my primary commuter bag for both the office and work travel, and ut is by far the best-designed and most sturdy bag I’ve ever had. The overall layout is perfect, with a great way to stash a laptop along with plenty of other space for extras. I frequently am able to use this bag as a standalone option for one night work trips as it has enough room for everything I need, but is still very compact. Pocket and zippers are very high quality; far superior to other brands I’ve used before. Overall, I love everything about this bag!
I have been using my Rhune 22 pack for a few months now and I love it. It is compact while wearing it, while spacious in the amount of thing you can carry. I enjoy the different compartments of the pack, especially how easy it is to access my laptop. I have traveled with it as well and it was simple and easy. It allowed me to not feel weighted down while walking through an airport and getting through TSA was a breeze. I would highly recommend this pack to anyone. It is great for daily use or for when you are traveling.
As someone with back and shoulder pain, I vas very apprehensive about a new backpack. Let me tell you- it holds up. I’ve packed it heavy and the weight always distributes and dissipates magically as soon as it’s on my back. The organizational pockets are thought out without being overwhelming, and I like that the largest pocket unzips almost to a clamshell level. The small shoulder zippered pocket was my non-negotiable for headphones. The secret side pocket has been key for traveling and needing frequent access to my wallet and passport. But my absolute favorite thing about this pack is how slim it is. I can pack it full, but it will always fit under a seat or squeeze into a tight subway. I use it for commuting, 1-2 day trips, and a personal item for longer travels. Would highly recommend.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have several day packs that crumple down as small as possible and I love that this one does the opposite. The stiff, comfortable back support makes a laptop and books equally as comfortable as jumbled grocery items on a bike commute. The opening to the main compartment felt narrow at the zipper, but opens up to ample storage at the base, and I ended up loving the sleek, tapered feel of the bag. There’s also a satisfying amount of pocket storage for keeping things organized.
Two weeks and im very happy- replaced a 32L ‘technical” bag with a compact commuter. Good: light, zippers, well thought out pockets, light colored interior = easier to find stuff. Places for improvement: Im 5’8” , 175 lbs and the shoulder straps could be a bit wider at the neck and longer for comfort. They do the job but the bigger packs give a bit more coverage. Big enough for 16 inch laptop, tablet, chargers, shoes and a puffer jacket which is plenty for daily needs.
I really love the functionality and the understated design of this pack. The air cushion back panel and the cushioned handle are a big step up from the border and resin packs. I really wish the Rhune 25L had the same design as this one with separate zippers for laptop and main compartments instead of the weird flip top. I use this for overnight work trips when I can pack very lightly, and would love just a tad more space for a jacket or sneakers.
