Stylish and Functional
Absolutely love these pants. I was looking for a pair of fleece joggers to replace a pair I’ve had for many years that are a staple for camping. I ordered the M and L as I was between sizes in the size chart and ended up returning the M, which felt like too much of a slim fit. The L are very comfortable and roomy without looking baggy. I like the front pockets, which are large enough to hold my phone, though I wouldn’t want it in there if I was to go hike in these as the pockets in the front do not zipper. The zippered back pocket is a nice detail to throw car keys or something you don’t want to lose. The fleece is very warm and I think the cut of the pants is flattering. I wear them a little higher so they sit just below my waist but the elastic waist is forgiving enough to wear them at a mid-rise level. The price tag made me hesitate but I bought them on sale (still made me hesitate even at sale price) and I’m glad I did. I think these are more stylish than a lot of other fleece pants, and I like the fun combination of colors. I wore these camping last weekend and they were perfect at night in 40-50s weather around the campfire. These are my first Cotopaxi purchase and I have a feeling I’ll be adding more to my wardrobe.
poor fitting
The fabric and construction of these pants are great, and I wished they worked, but unfortunately there are two deal breakers. First, the elastic around the ankles is way too tight. I have average sized ankles, but with a pair of wool socks underneath, the cuffs are skin tight. Also, they're high rise (the waistband completely covers my belly button), which I don't mind if pants are cut well, but unfortunately these are a bit odd. They seem to be higher rise in the front than the back, and the fabric in the front balloons out in an awkward way. I'd be okay with that if these pants were cheap and I was only planning to wear them around the house, but neither of those is the case, so they're going back.
Collects hair like you wouldn’t believe
Very nice and comfortable. However, I’ve returned them because I live in a pet household and the amount of hair these attract, collect, and ball up is overwhelming. If there were a Cotopaxi pant with fleece in the inside that the outside is fully covered by the material for the pockets they would be excellent. I don’t want clothes I won’t wear (especially something spendy) and because of how much hair this product collects, I won’t wear them.
Nice!
I have been wanting to buy a Cotopaxi product for a while without looking like I am embedded in 1970s Lucite. These are cute and super comfy. The butt and thighs are not overly baggy so you can actually see your shape a bit even though they feel loose like any good jogger should. They are a little lighter weight than a comparable cotton set of course they are not waterproof but I bet it would be better to wear these in the rain than cotton. I will be using for sleeping, walking /dog walking, the elliptical machine on cool days, and maybe a short hike with tights underneath on a chilly day. Or tucked into muck boots when snow shoveling. They are clearly well-made with a nice waistband that somehow is elastic yet not super- bunchy. The two front pockets in the rear pocket are made with contrasting smooth fabric, the rest is very fuzzy comfy fleece. The ankle bands are really well done because they are fuzzy but wide enough and loose enough that they are warm and don't leave marks on you. I have not washed these yet I am hoping that since they are made of something like recycled plastic bottles they do not shrink or leave huge amounts of orange fuzz in the washer/ dryer for the local fish to enjoy. Also hoping that the fleece does not pill but it remains to be seen. These are obviously expensive for a pair of jogging pants but I think they were probably worth it on sale. One final note, I am only 5 foot two of these reach my ankle with little excess so if you are tall and want them all the way to the ankle, you might have to get an extra tall size.
Just Okay Joggers/Sweats
These run a but small but are very cute. Not thick enough to withstand much outside activity but good for leisure, etc. There is no comparison between these and the Patagonia P6 Uprisal sweats.
Great quality. Tight waist though
Love these pants. Great quality, thick, warm, fun to wear. Be prepared for the band though. It’s of course elastic and it’s good quality but it’s thick and if your waist is a little thick, you will feel it and you’ll have marks. My waist is a little thicker than my legs/butt from a proportion standpoint so a size small (I’m a 6) felt a bit tight in the waist but great everywhere else. 2lbs less and my waist was fine. So a size 4 is maybe better for the size small or just a proper hourglass proportion at a size 6, idk. Either way, love the pants! And can’t stop saying, the quality is top notch.
Best fleece pants
One of the things I love about Cotopaxi is it’s worn in comfort and broken in look. This goes for these fleece pants that keeps me warm and cozy in the rains and chilly mornings. I especially love the waist band and all the pockets and how the whole design is put together. Feels nice against the skin from waist to cuffs and has the waffle weave on the inside to provide more warmth. I wear these all day long even as it warms up and it’s comfortable. Goes well color wise with almost anything surprisingly. Grateful for the Llamas! I wear XS at 5’1” and 110lbs
Cozy and sporty
I usually wear a size Small or Extra Small. Depending on the brand size 2 or 0. With these joggers the extra small were too snug and the small fit just right. The size small still has enough room for me to add an extra layer of tights underneath when the weather gets really cold. The jogger style is great for me because I'm a short woman, just under 5'. The elastic of the jogger keeps the pants from dragging down and they don't need any hemming. Fleece is so cozy, and the bright colored zipper pull details and logo keep them looking sporty.
Great heavier fleece pant
I got these as a lounge pant and they definitely do that well! They are heavier than most fleece pants and *very* warm, so probably a good fall/winter pant or would be perfect as a camp pants in the mountains. Waistband sits right at my waist, so this might not be comfortable if you like low rise or high rise waistbands as the elastic is sturdy and on the firm side. I have long legs, so I'm glad I went with the size S as the legs would have been too short if I went with the XS. Well made and love the raspberry color!
Nice fabric, too short
Really nice fabric, around the house they are nice and warm, but not too hot. Fabric is more substantial than some other fleece pants. Ordered a size small since that is my usual size, fit ok. I am 5’6 and these pants are a couple inches too short on me, even for joggers.
