Hiking or backpacking, these women's REI Co-op Flash Hyperstretch fleece pants provide warmth and mobility on the trail. The soft, 200-weight fleece has plenty of stretch for ease of movement.

Sizing Notes
Measurements are stated in inches unless otherwise indicated. Size chart values represent body measurements, not garment measurements. Some women's pants are available in petite and tall sizes. Typically petite sizes fit women 4'11" to 5'3". Regular sizes fit women 5'4" to 5'8". Tall sizes fit women 5'9" to 5'11".
PETITE: Generally, as compared to regular sizes, petite sizes are 2.5 inches shorter in inseam, 1 inch shorter in body length, 1.25 inches shorter in sleeve length and Âľ inch shorter in total rise.
TALL: tall sizes are 3 inches longer in inseam, 2 inches longer in body length, 2.5 inches longer in sleeve length and 1.25 inches longer in total rise.
Capri or cropped pants have an intentionally shorter inseam—reference the technical specs instead of this chart.
Inseam is measured to the floor.

This is fleece?
These pants, which are okay, are dramatically different from the style of fleece pants they replaced. This fabric is smooth inside and outside. I much prefer the previous fuzzy fleece fabric that had a warm cozy feel and was somewhat thicker. Also, the waist of the previous style was larger but was easily adjustable. My 2 pair of the old style have been worn so many times that the fleece has now worn thin. However, I returned the new pants and hope that REI will bring back the more popular style with true fleece fabric. I was unable to locate, in store or online, true "fleece" pants in a women's Petite size, that compared well to the older style.
Bring back Hyperaxis fleece pants.
I have been buying REI Hyperaxis fleece pants for a few years now and own 6 pairs. This new revision of the pants is okay but not as great as the old version. Fit it slightly smaller and more fitted. Fabric is thiner and not as insulating and I am not a fan of prominent logo placement on the leg. The other pant version could be worn in office or the trailhead hiking.

Very comfy. Since they discontinued the Hyperaxis fleece pants (of which I have both colors,) this was what I could find to beef up my winter pants collection. I wish they made a couple more colors.
warm and cozy
Soft fleece on the inside feels very nice. Material is slightly lighter weight than the hyperaxis pants. Love the sportier look
Waistband needs improvement
I think I was expecting more a of hiking pant but these are something in-between a pant and a legging. The legs are stretchy and soft but not quite formfitting. I'm 5'7" ~135lbs and ordered a medium tall. They are very hard to get over my hips and thighs, I have to unzip the pockets in order to get them on and off. The top inch of the pants has a drawcord that has no give and constricts my waist a bit. They are also thinner/more lightweight than expected. Otherwise the fit is flattering and I appreciate the long length.
Perfect Late Fall Walking/Hiking Pant
Great lightweight warmth for anything below 45. Material is comfortable, fit is perfect for me. Especially light the waistline...it's moderately easy to get on but somehow really stays put. I don't like tights anymore for walking/hiking; guess I'm at that age! These are somewhat fitted but a skin hugger. And for the price (got them on sale), hard to beat. I ordered a small and they are perfect (5'5", 130)
Hyperstretch Fleece Pants
I bought these pants in Women's Large Tall. The waist is way too tight, I can pull them on only with great difficulty. I think if there was more stretch in the waist with a longer drawstring the pants would fit me perfectly. The length is just barely long enough, (I'm 5'11''). The material is nice and felt soft. Unfortunately, I am returning them.
