Comfortable
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first start wearing this vest on my run, I couldn't believe how light it is felt like I had on nothing at all. I run at night and the neon color is visible so that cars and cyclists can see me and that way I'm staying safe, Also the vest is insulated and it keep me warm and not so overheated. I can keep on the insulated vest on my whole run and don't feel the urge to take it off like other running vest. The mesh on the back is really cool. You should wear it with long sleeves. I run with it just snap and not zip up so I can get a breeze while running. Size medium fit well for me but wouldn't mine if it was a bit bigger.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like to run in the early morning hours around my neighborhood. I got this vest and I am very happy with it! It’s got some really cool hi-visibly styling build in so when it’s dark the drivers can see the reflective parts on the vest and also the hi-viz color scheme. I think it definitely keeps me more safe when I run across pedestrian crossings in the dark. The vest is also lightly insulated and feels warm and light when I am out running when its 55 degrees outside. Check out my pictures because I think Brooks did a terrific job on the styling of this vest!
A Season Friendly Vest
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s can be tricky to find the best attire when going out for a run especially when dealing with jumps in weather. Here in Michigan we see all sorts of different weather in just one week. This vest is perfect for keeping you warm during cooler temps but also not to warm that you overheat and feel you need to shed a layer. Because it’s a vest you have more breathing room for running and an ease in movement in your arms when in motion. I especially like the color of the material used. The reflective fabric really stands out when going for that morning or evening run. Yet you can truly pull this vest off for both exercise or casual wear. All around a good quality vest the only thing I would suggest is pay attention to the zipper as it does seem to get a little caught up when zipping up the vest. But definitely not a deal breaker.
Comfortable and Visible!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the Brooks run visible insulated vest! It is extremely comfortable and light weight. It is true to size and is extremely stylish. I love the high visible colors which makes me feel more at ease that others can see me in the early mornings or later evenings. It is also wind and water resistant which is great when I get caught running in cooler wet weather.I wear this on almost every run I go on! Highly recommend.
Perfect for late night runs
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First, I want to start by saying I love the style of this vest. I feel that it is very basic, which I love. It doesn’t overdue it with the bright yellow, just on the shoulders. I go to the gym after my kids go to bed and I jog home so this has been perfect for me. It is pretty dark and not a lot of street lights in my city so I am thankful for this vest and people being able to see me! It is also the perfect amount of warmth. I live in Michigan and the weather changes so much it’s hard to keep up with. I wear this every night and haven’t had a problem with overheating at all.there is padding where you need it and the back is thinner in the middle where you would usually sweat so it keeps some air flowing. My favorite thing about the vest is that it’s basic, keeps me visible, doesn’t make me too hot and the pockets! You definitely have to have pockets! I kind of wish that there was a hood on the vest because of the wind but other than that there isn’t anything I would change about this vest, it has been perfect for me and definitely puts my mind more at ease when I am jogging home knowing that others can see me!

Lightweight yet Effecfive!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] To be honest, I never considered purchasing a vest solely to train in, but this vest has completely change my mind. It has given me a certain confidence in my pursuit of completing my first 10k run. I have run on some pretty windy days, and the biggest thing I noticed was how little wind penetrates it, if any wind at all. The thin layer of insulation also keeps my core warm, but does not add any additional weight. It’s amazing how effective and lightweight this vest is. I typically run at night in low light conditions. Approaching cars can see the reflective portions of the vest very clearly. This has allowed me to focus more on my running instead of worrying about being visible to others. The only downside in my opinion was the vest’s color. It contained a good amount of white, and those white portions seem to get pretty dirty with repeated use. This has forced me to put the vest in the washing machine a few times. Each time, it has held up extremely well and come out looking as good as new. Stylish, warm, lightweight, easy to clean, comfortable, and barely noticeable while wearing it… this vest has become a new staple in my running atire and will surely be worn on race day.
Vest Designed for Comfortable Running
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Right off the bat, I want to say that the style of this vest is great. The material is soft and doesn’t make any excessive noise like some synthetic fabrics do. The design is sleek and has a distinct slimming effect. The pockets are very functional, including an internal pocket in the liner for holding a phone which keeps it from bouncing around while you run. Overall, the vest is obviously designed for comfortable running. I initially tested this vest on a five-mile run in low light and rainy conditions. The vest is designed as a high-contrast, high-visibility vest and absolutely works as such. On the course of my run there were multiple road crossings. I was able to notice an increase in the attention of drivers and other pedestrians due to high-visibility design of the jacket. My favorite feature on this vest is the highlighter yellow portion. This paired with the stark white/blue contrast of the jacket stands out in any light, whether sunlight, streetlight, or headlight. I felt a lot safer running with a feature like that and was secure in knowing that there was a higher likelihood that others would be able to see me from a long way off. Seeing how my test run was on a rainy overcast day, it was also a perfect chance to test out the vest’s ability to keep me warm. This vest absolutely delivered. I was able to run the entire five miles without feeling cold or like I was overheating. What’s more, the vest kept my shirt underneath completely dry! Overall, the Brooks Run Visible Insulated Vest gets absolute top marks from me. This vest is comfortable, sleek, stylish, and functional. It will definitely be an addition to my running ensemble going forward especially on runs where high-visibility is a must.
Great vest for changing weather
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this vest just as the weather started to change from summer to fall. As the mornings have been getting darker I’m so thankful for the reflective sections on this vest. Pockets are great and there are clasps up and down the front so you can unzip for ventilation as you warm up. Our climate is pretty mild so I haven’t needed extra layers this fall but I can’t wait to wear this vest throughout the winter as an extra layer.
Insulated Vest
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The material of this vest is great! I like that it’s lightweight so it doesn’t feel like you’re wearing Xtra layers. I think the material is a perfect weight, not too heavy and not too things so you’re not feeling bogged down while wearing it. The zipper is smooth and it’s great to wear open or zipped. I love the brightness on it as well as the reflectors, I live in the country so it’s always nice to give a little more warning on these country roads while out walking or running. I will say the sizing is a little off, if you have hips or any kind of stomach you made need to size up but be prepared bc the top portion will be a little larger so it’s not very proportionate. That’s the only thing I don’t love about the vest, no give in the waist area and a bit big in the upper body. I was able to wear the size I ordered and zip it as well I just prefer a little extra space around my waist!
