Good product with limited usefulness

The sweatshirt is comprised of "ribbed" material which makes it warmer than expected (very similar to my Brooks beanie). The little pocket is handy and I like the thumb holes and watch windows on the sleeves. Note that the pocket is only good for very small items (a credit card/ID or a single key, but not your phone) and the watch windows are kind of intense for casual wear. The sweatshirt itself is suitable for a narrow range of conditions. You will quickly be soggy if you try to wear this while running in anything over 45 degrees. On the other hand, the wind tends to cut right through it so you won't want to wear it on your coldest runs. I do love wearing the sweatshirt and do not regret buying but it is not the best value for the money.

Really good running gloves

These gloves do what they are meant to do and do it well. They keep my hands warm on cold days and allow me to use smartphones and watches. Given that the gloves have a sewn in patch on the palm for ventilation I would recommend removing the gloves from the cuffs rather than from the fingers to prevent any problems with the stiching. Would have been five stars but I found the gloves ran large and I had to return the original large and size down to a medium.

Great for below freezing temperatures

Overall it's well-made and comfortable. I like the long sleeves to cover your hands. For me, it's for temperatures below freezing. I would not wear it on days in the 40s - too warm for me. I wore it yesterday with temperatures in the teens with a shirt underneath and it performed well, but I did still end up with chaffing on my chest - this happens to me with my other cold weather shirt so not a big deal. I was hoping for better wind protection.

Comfy & Warm, without being Hot!

Love this shirt. It's comfortable and warm, without making you hot as you get up to temp on cilly days. The fabric is ribbed on the inside, which I'm sure has sweat reduction capabilities, but I think it might better insulate as well. I find that I can wear this quite comfortably from 60F down to freezing, with a vest for supplemental core heat on the coldest temps. I like it so much, I wish my daily shirts were as comfortable.

Great for 30 degree runs in the Plains.

I love the watch opening feature the most! It makes it so you're not digging to see your watch during your run. This shirt has kept me warm on six-mile runs down here in Oklahoma when we've had highs in the 30s with the wind. As a note, it was usually the only upper layer I wore. The white is a great color and I would love to see what they do in the next version of the Notch Thermal.

Absolutely love this for running in and daily use. It's the perfect mix of performance, simplicity, and comfort, with a "just right" warmth for cold but not too cold days compared to the hooded option (which is also great.) Beyond that it's also extremely comfortable for wearing around the house or on errands. If you buy 1, buy 2 or 3.

A Great First Impression

I trained for a marathon and needed some cold weather gear for my early morning runs. Pleasantly surprised at the shirt's softness. Thickness of shirt is perfect to keep warm but light enough to wear indoors (i.e., gym) as well so it will remain in my rotation regularly. My first experience with Brooks was all I could ask for.

Excellent find

I coupled this with a North Face winter warm jacket on a few high-altitude adventures this winter. I never reached for my puffy or Gore-Tex. I was warm and dry in high wind over 14,000'. I ran a couple 10ks in the mid 20's-30's with only this top - stated dry and warm. It's really an amazing shirt.

It is lightweight and warm. Very soft with thumb holes that are very comfortable to wear. Wind resistant enough to provide warmth, but breathable enough to keep you dry. I use it for running and it would warm enough to wear down to about 35 F. Comfortable enough to lounge around the house in.

Great for 32F

Works well for cold days. For me, this is best around freezing. Too warm for the 40s. Comfortable. I usually go only 1-2 runs before washing as it holds some sweat. The watch window seems great and I wish all running apparel had this, but it is currently too small of opening for a Fenix 6x.
