Love a good puffy
Pros: kept me warm while hiking in 18F in the snow in colorado. I literally said out loud, "good job puffy". Squishes down well. the hood is a life saver. cute. I got both the S and XS and while the XS fit well and was more form fitting (I'm 34D and both were able to zip over chest, although the S more easily) I ultimately went with the S so I can layer both under and over. cons: I have noticed lil feathers coming out more and more over time. I don't think I'm that rough with it but it is just something I've noticed.

Where did the down go?
I had the same experience as this review. . . Super disappointed in quality. After about a year of very light wear (I have three winter coats) and minimal washing (following care instructions), all the down disappeared from back and arms. Super bummed because $$$. Would not buy again.

My go-to Puffy Jacket

This is my go-to puffy jacket that I wear both on the slopes, in the city, and staying warm while belaying for ice climbing. I really love the pink-on-pink colour blocking and am excited to put my puffy on while outside. This is a great layering piece that is fitted a little tighter so it's easy to put under a shell. What I like: 1. The breast pocket has a bag that is meant for the jacket to get easily packed into and put into my backpack. 2. It is lightweight but still keeps me super toasty 3. I am someone with wide shoulders and small hips and long arms and the sizing fits me perfectly. Overall really enjoy wearing this jacket and don't have anything negative to say about it.

DO NOT buy - extreme down shedding

I really, really wanted to love this jacket. After having some fashion forward light down jackets, I decided to jump the gun on the Cerium for its fill power and more casual aesthetic. I can safely say this is the WORST of any light down jacket I've owned (high and lower end). In the short time I have had this, I have seen more down shedding than I have in other similar jackets over 2-3 year period. Down continuously comes out of the seams so even though Arcteryx markets this as 850 down fill, you're left with substantially less due to shedding. The pictures attached speak for itself. In this instance after trying to pull the feathers back in from inside the jacket and failing, I brushed it to downwards only to see a chunk of the filling come out. We have purchased Arcteryx for years (alpha shells and Veilance for men's) and have never had an issue until now. Quality control has clearly gone down or is no longer disregarded. I have never had this happen and am absolutely disappointed with this product and would be very hesitant to purchase another Arcteryx, particularly any down associated product.

Hi There, Thank you for reaching out and making us aware of the issue. We pride ourselves on our design and manufacturing process, and because all down products will lose down initially, we will overfill our down products which results in down loss. We recommend trying to massage down back into the garment, as plucking it will exacerbate the existing hole, resulting in a greater loss of down. If you feel this is a warranty issue, we invite you to fill out a product service form found here https://arcteryx.com/ca/en/help/product-service/service-request/, so we can better assist you. If you have any other questions, please give us a call at 1-866-458-2473. All the best

Long hours, low temps, THIS JACKET IS THE BEST.

Received free product

I had the perfect opportunity to test drive the Arc'teryx Women's Cerium Down Hoodie this weekend while working marathon weekend in Philadelphia in absolutely frigid conditions. I worked about 12 hours a day on Saturday and Sunday with wind chill in the teens and this jacket NAILED IT. Does Arc'teryx make socks because if they're as cozy and comfortable as this jacket, *that's* what I'll invest in next. The jacket is stylish, a beautiful shade of blue, and warm as can be. I even snagged something on the front of the jacket and cringed, expecting it to rip, and it didn't -- thank goodness! So it's good, high quality material and light, but substantial. The hood is nice and deep (and fit comfortably over my pom pom beanie). I was able to layer base layers underneath and it still fit with a slim profile. I think I'd like a little sturdier/heavier zipper pull, but that's getting into brass tacks. If you need something warm AND stylish, this jacket absolutely delivers.

Great jacket but down leaks

Overall love the style, look, fit and warmth of this jacket but incredibly disappointed in the quality. The down feathers are leaking out the back seams. I thought this would subside after a couple wears but now I am embarrassed to put it on as it looks like I have two cuts down the back of the jacket. For such an expensive down jacket, in comparison to competitors, I expected more from Arc'teryx. This is the 5th item I have owned from Arc'teryx and the only one I would not recommend.

I LOVE the Cerium Hoody

This is my favorite jacket and a huge staple in my closet! I wear it whenever it's chilly out and the down insulation keeps me super warm. I have an athletic build with wide shoulders so sometimes it's hard to find jackets that fit my body correctly but this one is PERFECT. I'm a medium in all clothes so I bought a medium in this hoody and it fits true to size. I've noticed some down jackets limit mobility and kind of feel heavy but this one is super light and moves with my body which I am super stoked about. The quality has held up through a lot of climbing trips and outdoors adventures. It's definitely worth the buy to have as a long term quality staple in your closet!

Go to Winter Puff

This jacket is what I wear in town, out ski touring, and hut vibes. Its lightweight and the best feature is the attached bag on the breast pocket that allows for the jacket to be tightly compactly packed away into a small bag.

Awesome jacket- wish I bought a darker colour.

I've had this jacket for about 6 months and haven't had major issues. It fits well and is really warm. When it's raining, I always wear a Goretex rain jacket. My only comment is that the brown feathers showing through the bright coloured jacket makes it look dirty and mottled. It's most obvious around creases (elbows and armpits). At first, I thought it was actually dirt and did a thorough clean (followed the instructions arc'teryx put out for washing down). When the jacket looked essentially the same after the wash, I realized it was probably something else and it looks to be a common issue with the dark feathers. If you want a lighter colour, pause and decide how much you care about this since you are dishing out a lot of money.

Sleek tailoring, warm and cozy, unique colors

I love this puffy hoody for cold hikes in the fall and spring and for everyday life too. The quilted rows of insulation are sleeker than the Thorium, making this ideal as a lighter, easy-to-move-in insulation layer. In terms of sizing, I went for a smaller size than my usual to get shorter sleeves and because the jacket had plenty of arm and torso room for a baselayer and a soft-shell (the Atom SL hoody is my favorite soft-shell of all time). Arcteryx's performance fabrics are consistently some of the best I've seen in outdoor recreational clothes — they just work. I hope to use this jacket for many years to come, with lots of happy hikes associated with it.
