I now have two of these Nite Ize Radiant 170 Task Lights. Please note that the part of the light with the magnets and the wire is easily detachable making this the perfect very small lightweight (~1.3 oz, 37 gm) emergency light for hiking, backpacking or camping. On the lower setting (20 lumens) the light is bright enough for hiking on a trail at night, and it lasts 11 hours on one charge which is great. To turn it on you need to hold down the button for at least 2 seconds -- this means you can pack it without worrying that it will turn on accidentally. The only negative thing about it is the fact that it requires a micro-USB charging cord -- it should be USB-C instead.
Here's my summary of the many features of this great little light: 1) Very bright white light modes 2) Good red-light & flashing red-light modes 3) Vertically adjustable light 4) Attach light using magnets, gear tie or put on the floor 5) Fast recharge time and long run times 6) Powered by on-board rechargeable battery or external sources 7) Can attach to a hat using the gear tie 8) Can use indoors and outdoors in many ways I wish this light was available years ago. One of my best purchases
Very bright small light.. love that it recharges and has different settings.. On top of the magnetic option you can tie it on for extra hold with the built in cable ties.. My daughter wanted to ride her bike so why not let’s try it out.. That’s where the ties came in handy.. She thought that was really awesome.. I have a bugout bag and throw it in there for an extra light to have if we have a power outage at work or a easy go to light if I need to fix something that requires two hands
Bright is bright. Low is useful. Red is super useful. No artifacts. Nice light
Versatile and awesome idea, but it doesn't last. Both broke within 6 months. 1 just died and the other's charging port somehow broke off. They were used in a very normal way as bike lights, no abuse, I don't even think I used them in the rain. Kind of bummed about it.
Bought this a month ago to attach to my wrist while walking the dogs at night. The adjustable head allows it to lie flat on my forearm. Perfect for visibility on those dark nights. Recharges quickly and holds its charge.
I bought one and add it in my bike it looks modern and nice kool on my beach cruiser definitely add it in my e bike … red lights. Should be more brighter but I used the regular white
This amazingly bright, adjustable device can be used for a variety of tasks. I currently use it to illuminate closets and cabinets. Love the attachment options.
This nifty little light is so handy! It's incredibly bright for it's size, and I love the built in wire things I use to attach it to pretty much anything.
love this, it's easy to carry, compact, and a bright wide light. Used it for a night hike and it worked great. Haven't tried red light yet
