- More durable than most included insoles
- Can provide more structure and support
- Help with physical conditions like plantar fasciitis, structural misalignment, supination or overpronation
- Help with fit issues like heel slippage, foot elongation, or low or collapsed arches
Insole volume
- High-volume: best for high arches; used in hiking boots, ski boots or running shoes
- Medium-volume: works for a variety of arches; best for casual shoes and some athletic footwear
- Low-volume: very low arches; work best with cycling shoes, in-line skate boots or ski skate boots
Insole care
- Air them out after wear
- Spot clean or wash by hand with mild detergent
- Periodically inspect for deterioration
- Replace every 12 months or so
