Water Resistant, Lightweight, and Warm
I’m a Floridian who bought the parka for a trip to Washington…This mid-length, pedestrian-style parka stretches without compromising the shape. It’s also ultra lightweight, extremely warm, and water resistant. I wore it unzipped around rainy Seattle in February and stayed dry. It was extremely warm in colder areas (-10 to 35 C). The stretch fabric made it possible to wear t shirts, fleece or heavy sweaters underneath without adding bulk or impacting mobility. I would not recommend it for skiing or long hikes in the forest due to the length. Otherwise, it’s the perfect winter coat.
I ordered a 14 the
I ordered a 14 the coat was nice but too big, so I ordered a 12, this was exactly the same size when carefully compared, (the labels all said 12), so I had to return both. I fully understand about layers of clothing underneath and about size tolerances, but I assessed this parka should be reasonably snug, otherwise the cold air just wafts in and out of the coat as you move. Now I have ordered a size 10 - I'm worried it will be too small!! The sleeve length was good, and the fabric was nice. So this project is ongoing!
I really like the coat
I really like the coat it fits well and is warm. My only complaint is that it doesn't have a secure zipped pocket on the inside. My other jacket does and it's handy for keys etc. If I put my keys in the hand pockets I worry that I will loose them by accident.
Warm practical coat, not too puffy
Warm, practical coat. The fit is true to size... It's perfect with a bit of room in the size I usually get in coats... The size down would be snug which no one wants in a winter coat! Nice soft pockets, and love the Deep Heather color.
Warm comfortable stretchy down coat :-)
Lovely warm and very comfortable coat. Great for winter walks in the hills or just out walking the dog. Extremely pleased, love the deep heather colour and looks great with Oxblood Red Essential Beanie.
I haven't worn this yet
I haven't worn this yet so my rating can't be taken as final. It looks and fits OK but I'm really hoping it will keep me warm when I go on holiday to Norway in 2022!
