Unimpressed
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These sandals are flimsy compared to previous Keens I have owned. They have poor arch support. Very disappointing given the price. I wish I could post a picture comparing the new one to the old ones.
BEST pair of Keens I have EVER had!
I have had about 5-6 pairs of Keen sandals since they came out, but THESE are the BEST pair of Keens I have EVER had! These are the LEAST DORKY looking of all the sandals on the market with toe protection AND they are very comfortable.
No easy on…
Looks great with same typical Keen quality; however, the design of the tongue is such that it requires fussing, straightening, and effort each time donned. Sent them back after 1st fumbling attempt. I knew that if kept, I’d ultimately become very frustrated. I prefer the instep integrated tongue design of their other sandals.
Looks Good, but Just Doesn’t Fit Right
They look good, they feel good, and then I start to walk. The left foot feels like the heel is being pushed to the inside, almost as if it is going to fall off the platform. They also seem to flop no matter how much I tighten them. Besides that they are fine. I’m able to get them right to my foot and I have not had any problems with the tongue as others have had. I make sure that the tongue is placed "correctly" before I cinch them down and it does not move when the sandal is tight. I’ve worn Keen for years, for a time it was all I worked, summer and winter. This model just does not live up to the standard that Keen has. Why, I don’t know. They just don’t feel right.

Not Keens typical quality
First, I love keen shoes and have a bazillion pairs…BUT these fell apart the second time I wore them and the first time I wore them was to the grocery store. Got them just for kayaking. Got one good pic of me wearing them in the kayak and when I got home the strapping pulled out of bottoms and inner sole was coming apart. Both pairs started to come apart after two uses. Not worth it even if they were on sale.
Cord snapped on the first wear
Went to put them on for the first time, and the cord you pull to tighten the shoe snapped on me. I may have pulled harder than needed, but it wasn't too hard (or so I thought).
Nice sandels.
The sandels fit great and were excellent for my walks in the desert and the neighborhood. Soles might a little thin for serious hiking in rocks.
Comfortable and super light
Super comfortable, very light. I've used these a lot on rivers and beaches in Costa Rica. They take a super short amount of time to get dry.
An Interesting Alternative to the Keen Newport H2
I was looking for a pair of Newport H2, which I have happily worn for years, only replacing when completely worn out from wearing daily, but checked what else Keen had available. The Drift Creek H2 looked interesting and was somewhat cheaper than the Newport H2, so I decided to give them a try. These are slightly smaller and lighter, with a softer and more flexible sole than the Newport H2. The tongue piece sometimes folds over on itself as you slip the sandal on, but a quick tug on the end straightens it. They are very comfortable and comfortable for walking. The softer and more flexible sole feels a little more "connected" to the ground than the Newport H2, though for hiking on rough ground the Newport might be better with its thicker and stiffer sole.
The heel….
I’ve seen a couple other reviews complain so it isn’t just me. The heel has a lip that aggressively cuts into the sole bottom of your heel and is very uncomfortable. This is a shoe you definitely want to try on because I bet it depends on each foot how it will feel. In my case, terrible
