This is a great bag for your climbing gear
It’s big enough to pack in all of the gear that my wife and I need for a day of sport climbing. The built in tarp is a great way to keep the gear clean and out of the dirt. The pack is comfortable and has high quality adjustable straps to set up a heavier load. The only thing missing is an external pocket for a water bottle and some external webbing loops to lash on light stuff such as helmets if you load up with trad gear and need space. In our case, my wife takes a smaller day pack that holds food and water. There are two built in pockets that are zippered so you can stow some smaller goods. The bag is built with good fabrics that should last most people a lifetime.
Great bag, color in photos is a little different in persom
Was looking for a good sized bag to haul some gear and settled on this one based on the features and capacity. Opted for the nickel which looked bright and silver so it won't look as dirty and a black one covered in dust. Was surprised when I open the bag and discovered it's actually quite dark and more like a charcole grey. Doesn't effect the bag at all, but just thought it was worth pointing out. Still excited to use it! Looks well built.
you need this!
I love this pack so much!! Super well-made, efficient, durable, and comfortable pack to carry your gear to the crag. It also looks very sleek. The rope tarp is awesome. It makes it so easy to store and carry your rope in the backpack, and you can also roll the tarp out while you belay so your rope is not on the dirt. I have enough room for a 70m rope, 16 quick draws, extra locking carabiners, belay device, sunscreen, extra layers, hat, lots of snacks, water, shoes, harness, etc. Everything I need for a long day at the crag fits perfectly in here with even a little room to spare. There's buckles for around your waist and across your chest like a backpacking pack to keep the weight off your shoulders/back. This makes it very comfortable and easy to carry a heavy load, especially on longer approaches. One bag for all your needs! Yes! I am SO happy with this purchase!
Bag for 2!
So far, so good! Easily allows us to get a 2 person set up, all confined within the bag. Roll out tarp is a bonus, keeping our gear clean without having to use the crash pads, etc. The only addition I'd suggest is a exterior place to hang stinky shoes @ the end of the day, vs. putting them back in the bag. This bag should last a lifetime :)
Stone 42 Duffel
I don't use this for intended purpose, but I use it as a gym bag/travel bag. This bag is perfect because I can carry it like a duffel bag or throw it on my back as a pack. The soft shell allows me to fit a lot of clothes in there, and the pockets on the side allow for some more organization. Great bag for travel.
All around bag
I was looking for a bag to replace my travel bag, and a nice crag day bag. This is great for both! Being able to throw it on my back makes it easy to carry on and off a plane. The tarp and easy accessibility makes it great for a crag day. The size is just what I was looking for.
great size
the 42L bag is a great addition to my setup. I can fit my 60m single rope, 12 quickdraw and 5 caribernes on the clip lines, 15m of 1'' webbing 15m of 8mm static cord, harness, helmet ,and many ads and ends in the interior pockets and there is room to spare. A truly great buy!!
Great bag for gym climbing
Got this bag for everything I need when I go to my local gym. Fits everything I need: chalk pot, chalk bag, rope, 2 harnesses, shoes, helmet, and multiple belay devices with room to spare. Haven't used it at the crag yet but anticipate it'll still hold up great. Great bag!
Great Sport Pack
I bought this pack in it's prototype phase. This pack is awesome if you're going to sport climb. A rack in this makes things a bit tight. I wish it had loops on the outside to attach things to. Otherwise a good pack for a trip to the local crag.
Gets it done well
Love this bag for carrying all my gear - from the gym to the crag. Straps are secure and everything fits easily. I can fit a rope when just sport climbing, but have to bring a separate rope bag when climbing trad as a rack takes up more space.
