light weight bench

I bought this for my upcoming camping trip. I haven’t used it yet but I tried it at home and it was stable and easy to assemble. I took away one star because there’s few scratches on the frame. It’s pricey but overall I’m happy with the bench just those few scratches on the frame.

Love this bench

I wrote a previous review because I had problems assembling. My fault I had the parts backwards, were the tubes snap in. This great in my truck. I can open my side hatch and reach in and grab stuff I set on it, I can also sit inside my truck bed on it. This leaves the center of my truck bed available for cargo or sleeping.

Great product

Great product and will get lots of use. The written instructions were somewhat helpful, but I relied more on the pictures in regards to proper assembly. It would be helpful if they made the pictures larger to provide more detail. Once I got it figured out, assembly was a snap.

Wonderful bench

I purchased this bench to keep my stuff off the tent floor on extended car camping trips. It's amazing! Very sturdy and light weight. Beautifully designed, and you can sit with confidence.

Really difficult to set up

I really like the helinox products. I’ve had several cots. This bench is extremely difficult to assemble, it keeps sliding out of the two plastic holders on the side opposite of the hardware that clamps down. It doesn’t seem wide enough to secure the poles. I’m going to get help. Once assembled, I will keep it assembled in my truck bed.

Good Firm Seat

This is a very firm stable seat. I purchased it because I was looking for something I could lay flat on my back but with legs bent at the knee while still remaining light/compact enough to take backpacking. This bench fills that role beautifully. Extremely comfortable to lay or sit on. I especially appreciate that it doesn't lean back like most compact chairs do, so it's far easier to lean forwards near the fire or while performing other tasks. Extremely well designed with great attention to detail, pockets in the seat fabric for the cross beams to seat into so it can't slip out or the cloth slip on the rails, tensioning mechanism is able to achieve a great tautness to the fabric while being easy to attach and lock into place. Fabric feels durable and while it is very tight, still has enough give to be comfortable for seating, very similar to how a cot would feel. While expensive, If this fits your need for something compact and light I do recommend it highly.

Ignorance is still Bliss.

This is the type of thing that ruins outdoor experiences. I don’t understand the purpose of this bench when there’s perfectly good logs to sit on. Even base camp setups don’t need stuff like this. Portable? Yes; but a waste of weight and space.
